Jennifer Hudson Reveals Her Weight Loss Tips

Oscar winning actress Jennifer Hudson was recently announced as face of Weight Watchers. She looks great with her new slimmed down figure.

The 28-year-old Hudson, who is thought to have lost almost 60lbs since giving birth to son David last August, credits her weight loss to eating sensibly and following the Weight Watchers points plan and also working out with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.

“With Weight Watchers, I am enjoying the weight loss because I’m doing it the right way–I feel empowered with what I’ve learned, everything from portion control to what foods will help keep me satisfied,” she said today.

Hudson follows in the footsteps of actress Jenny McCarthy and the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson who have both appeared as spokeswomen for Weight Watchers.

She also added:

“It’s a lifestyle change, not a diet. I don’t really diet as such. I actually get up and work hard every day. I make sure I eat right and just make sure I stay focused. It is about being consistent and sticking with it.”

She has already spoken publicly about her weight loss struggle and was named ‘the big girl’ when she appeared as a contestant on American Idol.

She gained 20 lbs for her Oscar winning role as Effie in Dream Girls by eating a diet of ‘cakes and cookies and lots of fried food.’
