The power of positive emotions such as joy is absolutely unquestionable. Joy helps us live longer, that’s why it is considered to be an ultimate elixir of life. Try rejoicing even at minor things and you’ll definitely see how it can change your world.
People who live jolly are less stress-susceptible; moreover joy provides our body with endorphins or so called ‘happiness hormones’ that help us to cope with life. Besides, cheerful people look more attractive than constant grumblers. That is why it is absolutely essential to learn to be cheerful. Fortunately it is easier than it seems, just follow our rules and enjoy your life.
Try to avoid contacting with everything that arouses negative emotions. A certain TV program annoys you – turn off the TV! You get irritating when meeting a certain person – try to minimize contacting. Surely you can’t exclude every negative emotion from your life, but ‘cheerful mood enemies’ can be identified and minimized.
One of the most efficient ways to cheer up is to watch comedies. If you feel a bit under par, life seems to you cheerless and dull, several amusing movies will help you to elevate. Depression will clear up of its own accord!
Try to put a smile on your face. To achieve it just close your eyes, stretch your lips into a slight smile and think of something pleasant and joyful. If you thoroughly rummage in your memory, unnatural smile will transform into real one.
Lead an active lifestyle. Endorphin also produces in our organism while we are exercising; I mean moderate physical activity instead of exhausting workouts. Make your muscles work actively and you will feel fine and look happy!
