One of the best skin care remedy is no doubt natural one i.e. with no usage of chemical agents. But unfortunately nowadays almost all cosmetics giants feel it their duty to add more and more chemicals in the beauty aids. But you know there are lots of natural remedies that can help to keep youth and elasticity of your skin and another advantage is that most of them are very easy to DIY at home. And today I’d like to share with you how one can use natural oils as one of the most essential and easy-to-do homemade skin care remedies.

First up, let’s sort out what one can use natural oils for and why they are so useful for our skin. Natural oils are very nourishing and can be used as an independent skin care remedy as well as can be added into your favorite shampoo or cream.

But anyway why natural oils are so popular in skin care routine? Well, the secret lies in the inimitable composition of oils. The substances contained in oils or more exactly their combination helps to nourish skin, stimulate skin cell renewal, moisturize and cleanse it; also some natural oils can serve as a sensitive natural makeup remover.

Well, we’ve clarified that natural oils are no doubt useful, now let’s consider some certain natural oil kinds, in order to use them properly.

Olive Oil

Olive oil has been used for many centuries and kept its popularity among beauties all over the world. Olive oil contains vitamin E and retinol, due to which this natural oil prolongs skin elasticity (vitamin E) and moisturizes it (vitamin A). Besides olive oil is hypoallergic, that’s why it is a perfect option for sensitive skin, moreover it doesn’t bridge the pores. Warm olive oil also can be used as a makeup remover.

Grapeseed Oil

Just like olive oil, wine-stone one can perfectly cleanse your face skin. Meanwhile wine-stone oil is almost only remedy among natural oils that perfectly suits oily and problem-prone skin – it doesn’t make oily sheen, but it narrows pores and matte skin. This natural oil is a perfect skin care remedy as it makes skin elastic, toned up and fresh. Grapeseed oil is light-textured and thus easy applied.

Almond Oil

This natural oil is also quite a precious skin care remedy. And not without reason as almond oil is a great source of vitamin E, due to which almond oil is a very powerful anti-wrinkle skin care remedy. Besides it greatly moisturizes skin and regulates its oiliness and protects from harmful UV-rays. Almond oil suits every skin type, but it is especially useful for dry and fading skin. Almond oil tones up, nourishes, cleanses and abirritates skin.

Coconut Oil

Firstly coconut oil has wonderful aroma that positively impacts our nervous system. But besides it has lot of other useful skin care properties. For face skin it is better to use refined coconut oil, it protects, abirritates, softens, nourishes and moisturizes skin. Also coconut oil can be used before sun-bathing in order to get perfect golden tan as well as after it to moisturize and abirritate your skin.

Peach Kernel Oil

Natural oil that can be very useful in skin care routine is peach kernel oil. It is one of the best homemade skin care remedy that enhances complexion as well as it can be perfect remedy for delicate skin of eyelids and lips. Also it is wonder remedy for lashes care. Peach kernel oil can be applied instead of your night cream.

Well, to conclude I’d like to say that of course it isn’t a full list of natural oils that can be used as wonderful homemade skin care remedies, enumeration can go on interminably… I’ve selected the most widespread, hope it will help to diversify your skin care routine with that will surely give you pleasure and make your skin fresh and healthy!

Our skin suffers from the badly circulated room ventilation and central heating system in winter. And together with this, people take much more proteins, fats, bread and eat more in general, move less.

All these pollute the organism from inside causing skin problems. On the other hand, the cold stimulates and rejuvenates the cells. That’s why the winter coming affects our skin in a good way. But there should be taken some preventive measures to avoid the baneful influence of other factors.

SPA at home

Find a couple of hours a week to do with your beauty in real earnest. Let’s start with the easiest procedure.

Winter face clearness. Take the cosmetic clay and knead it till you get a sour cream consistency. Then apply the clay on to the face and leave it there for 30-40 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water and then immediately with cold one. The deepest cleaning provides the black clay, that is wholesome for the body care and fights with cellulite.

Winter face peeling. Mix up 1 tbsp oat meal with 1 tea spoon brown rice meal and 2-3 drops of lavender oil. Add a bit of warm water and 1 tea spoon honey. Massage delicately the face and neck skin using this mixture. Then rinse it off with warm water.

Face bath. This is a wonderful procedure for the normalization of the acid-base balance and skin detoxification. However, you’d better omit it, if you have a very sensitive skin or acne rosacea. Put the herbs and oils that fit exactly your skin type into the boiling water (in the pot or anything).

For example, chamomile goes well for the sensitive and dry skin types; peppermint and rosemary – for normal and combination ones as well as acne-affected skin. Lavender is the perfect herbal measure for all skin types.

Bend your head above the pot about 3-4 inches high and cover your head with the towel letting the towel hang over the pot sides either. Stay that way for 5 minutes and then put a moisturizer onto the face.

Winter face massage. Practice it with the help of a moisturizer or special therapeutic oil. Choose the moistening product that doesn’t contain petroleum, mineral oils and propylene glycol. Do the slight massaging moves over the face and neck bottom-up (from neck to forehead and temples).

If you care about the face this way every day, it will never make you feel uncomfortable and put off the aging.

Ice cubes are also one of the great anti aging measures. Don’t forget about the whole body that needs additional care in winter time.

Dry skin – that’s no great tragedy.

Prepare the following face lotion: blend 10 oz warm water and 3 oz cream and boil it. Cool it, pour it into a glass jar. Pour out the sediment. Rub the skin with this lotion mornings and evenings.

Nourishing mask with egg yellow. Beat up the half of 1 yolk (or 3 quail yolks) with 1 tea spoon olive oil and 15 drops of lemon juice. Apply the mixture onto the face. Rinse it off in 15 min with warm water.

Linseed nourishing mask. Mix 1 tbsp flax seed with 5 oz boiling water. Boil it for 5-10 minutes. Cool it and put onto the face skin for 20 min, then rinse off with warm water.

Honey mask. Grind 1 tbsp oatmeal, 1 tea spoon honey and 1 beaten up egg yellow. Apply the gruel onto the face for 20 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Sour-cream mask. Mix up the equal parts of honey and sour cream. Put it onto the skin. Rinse it off in 20 min.

Oily skin – easy to dry a bit.

Grate orange and grapefruit peel. Squash fruit juice and add it into the peel gruel. Add 3 oz brandy, put in to a warm place and let it draw for 7 days. Filter it. Don’t drink it though it’s tasty. Rub the face with the lotion 2 times a day.

Honey mask. Mix 3 oz honey with 1 oz vodka and 1 oz water. Stir it well and apply onto the face for 25 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Yolk mask. Beat up 1 yolk and 20 drops of lemon juice. Rub the face with olive oil and then apply the mask. Rinse off in 20 minutes.

None of these masks will require more than 20-25 min of your precious time. But if you practice them regularly, you’ll spend about 140 minutes (2.5 hours) per week on the face care. That’ll be 10 hours per month! And 120 hours – a year! Can you imagine how your skin condition will change having this care.

And one more thing, drink more water to prevent the skin from the hydrating!

Let yourself enjoy the winter season playing snowballs and skiing. Christmas and the New Year are coming. You see, there are lots of reasons to take care of your skin.

We care much about our facial skin moisturing and protecting, but there is one more thing every woman should know and practice constantly – facial massage.

There is no contra-indication to this massage no matter if your face skin is young and healthy or damaged and aging. It helps to keep fat and water balance of the skin in norm . It’s particularly wholesome for people suffering nervous disorders and inclined to depression because these conditions affect the face significantly.

Clean your skin thoroughly before massaging it. If you have dry, prematurely aging or problematic skin apply almond or apricot oils after cleaning and cover it with warm towel to heat it up.

Then rub the oil evenly all over the face (except eyes and lip areas of course). Remove the oil from the face with the help of small amount of lavender or rose water. Sprinkle your face a little with mineral water as an additional wetting agent to prevent further insiccation.

There are 4 main massage movements:

“Flowing”. Flowing massaging should be very delicate over the face. It soothes the skin and stimulates the lymphatic glands functioning and blood circulation. Move the palms carefully along the skin surface intensifying the moves with every following.

“Strong”. These massaging movements could be done only if the skin muscles are completely relaxed. This sort of massage includes rubbing, rotation, tapotement, stretching and harsh massaging. The tension on the skin should increase gradually.

“Strong” massage is effective predominantly for flabby and aging skin. But if you want to try it with young skin, use some cream for the procedure. That will improve blood circulation and lymphatic glands functioning thus ameliorating bacteriological skin protection. It cleans the skin from dead tissues and helps it to remain fresh and beautiful.

“Stepping”. These are the quick and light strokes. This massage intensifies the smoothing of the nerve endings and improves blood circulation. Such movements tone up the skin and stretch it.

But there is one thing you should pay your attention at: if you practice the massage for too long, it can cause some redness and pain on the skin in the event of touching provoked by the high rush of blood. So be careful!

“Vibration”. The vibrations are produced by the fast, tension-weak movements of the hand over the skin. It allows achieving a soothing and stimulating effect with the help of the palm, fingers and fists. This massage is perfect for the sensitive skin as it doesn’t damage the capillaries.

Usually a visible effect can be seen the next day after the first massage procedure. It holds up the skin aging process. So, if you never tried it, you lose nothing if you do and your skin gains beauty!
