Our skin suffers from the badly circulated room ventilation and central heating system in winter. And together with this, people take much more proteins, fats, bread and eat more in general, move less.

All these pollute the organism from inside causing skin problems. On the other hand, the cold stimulates and rejuvenates the cells. That’s why the winter coming affects our skin in a good way. But there should be taken some preventive measures to avoid the baneful influence of other factors.

SPA at home

Find a couple of hours a week to do with your beauty in real earnest. Let’s start with the easiest procedure.

Winter face clearness. Take the cosmetic clay and knead it till you get a sour cream consistency. Then apply the clay on to the face and leave it there for 30-40 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water and then immediately with cold one. The deepest cleaning provides the black clay, that is wholesome for the body care and fights with cellulite.

Winter face peeling. Mix up 1 tbsp oat meal with 1 tea spoon brown rice meal and 2-3 drops of lavender oil. Add a bit of warm water and 1 tea spoon honey. Massage delicately the face and neck skin using this mixture. Then rinse it off with warm water.

Face bath. This is a wonderful procedure for the normalization of the acid-base balance and skin detoxification. However, you’d better omit it, if you have a very sensitive skin or acne rosacea. Put the herbs and oils that fit exactly your skin type into the boiling water (in the pot or anything).

For example, chamomile goes well for the sensitive and dry skin types; peppermint and rosemary – for normal and combination ones as well as acne-affected skin. Lavender is the perfect herbal measure for all skin types.

Bend your head above the pot about 3-4 inches high and cover your head with the towel letting the towel hang over the pot sides either. Stay that way for 5 minutes and then put a moisturizer onto the face.

Winter face massage. Practice it with the help of a moisturizer or special therapeutic oil. Choose the moistening product that doesn’t contain petroleum, mineral oils and propylene glycol. Do the slight massaging moves over the face and neck bottom-up (from neck to forehead and temples).

If you care about the face this way every day, it will never make you feel uncomfortable and put off the aging.

Ice cubes are also one of the great anti aging measures. Don’t forget about the whole body that needs additional care in winter time.

Dry skin – that’s no great tragedy.

Prepare the following face lotion: blend 10 oz warm water and 3 oz cream and boil it. Cool it, pour it into a glass jar. Pour out the sediment. Rub the skin with this lotion mornings and evenings.

Nourishing mask with egg yellow. Beat up the half of 1 yolk (or 3 quail yolks) with 1 tea spoon olive oil and 15 drops of lemon juice. Apply the mixture onto the face. Rinse it off in 15 min with warm water.

Linseed nourishing mask. Mix 1 tbsp flax seed with 5 oz boiling water. Boil it for 5-10 minutes. Cool it and put onto the face skin for 20 min, then rinse off with warm water.

Honey mask. Grind 1 tbsp oatmeal, 1 tea spoon honey and 1 beaten up egg yellow. Apply the gruel onto the face for 20 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Sour-cream mask. Mix up the equal parts of honey and sour cream. Put it onto the skin. Rinse it off in 20 min.

Oily skin – easy to dry a bit.

Grate orange and grapefruit peel. Squash fruit juice and add it into the peel gruel. Add 3 oz brandy, put in to a warm place and let it draw for 7 days. Filter it. Don’t drink it though it’s tasty. Rub the face with the lotion 2 times a day.

Honey mask. Mix 3 oz honey with 1 oz vodka and 1 oz water. Stir it well and apply onto the face for 25 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Yolk mask. Beat up 1 yolk and 20 drops of lemon juice. Rub the face with olive oil and then apply the mask. Rinse off in 20 minutes.

None of these masks will require more than 20-25 min of your precious time. But if you practice them regularly, you’ll spend about 140 minutes (2.5 hours) per week on the face care. That’ll be 10 hours per month! And 120 hours – a year! Can you imagine how your skin condition will change having this care.

And one more thing, drink more water to prevent the skin from the hydrating!

Let yourself enjoy the winter season playing snowballs and skiing. Christmas and the New Year are coming. You see, there are lots of reasons to take care of your skin.

There are so many products that have found their second life in cosmetology! Clay is not an exception! An average man will take clay as a building material or as stuff for china ware. Clay is a skin healer in cosmetic industry. It’s a sort of building material for the beauty creation.

Masks on clay basis are extremely wholesome for oily skin as they absorb excess grease piles up on its surface making it fresher and cleaner. It’s the wonderful measure for the open pores narrowing and pimples removing. These masks just dry off on your face during 5-15 minutes and then you should rinse them off with warm water that takes away the dead skin cells.

To achieve a better effect you should remove the make up and wet the skin before applying white and blue clays. Such masks are to be done regularly but no more often than once per week. Beside white clay you can use tale, carbonic magnesia, and starch as a basis of the drying mask.

White Clay Masks

The easiest mask to make contains of the equal parts of the white clay and tale. Add boric or lemon (preferably) acids to the basis, and if you have acne then add sulfur.

Mix up 3.5 oz white clay with 0.2 oz glycerine, 0.2 alcohol and 1 oz water. Apply the mixture onto the face with a wad of cotton wool. Rinse it off in 20 minutes.

Mix 1 tea spoon tale and 1 tea spoon white clay, and then add 1 tbsp milk into it. Put the mask onto the face for 20 min and then take it away using a wad of cotton wool.

Blend tale and clay in equal proportions. Then add 1-2 tbsp milk and apply the gruel onto the face skin for 20 minutes.

Take 1 oz white clay, 0.7 oz tale, 0.03 oz alum and mix it up with water until you get a cream consistency and put it onto the face. Take the mask off in 20 min.

Mask for a problem skin

Blend 3 tbsp white clay, 10-15 drops lemon juice and 1 oz alcohol and apply it onto the face. Rinse the mask off in 15 minutes.

Mask for a normal skin

Mix up 3 tea spoons white clay, ? tea spoon starch, ? tea spoon cleaned tale or oat flour, and a pinch of alum powder. Stir it thoroughly and apply it onto the face for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse it off with cool water.

Masks for the oily skin

Pour boiled cool water into the 2 tbsp white clay and stir it until you get creamy consistency. Then add 1 egg white, some drops of lemon juice and 1 tea spoon honey into the clay. Apply the mixture onto the face skin and rinse if off with boiled water after it dries.

Grate ½ cucumber and mix it up with 2 tbsp white clay. Put the mask onto the face and leave it there until it dries off, then rinse it off with mineral water and apply nourishing cream.

Blend 1 tbsp clay, 0.5 tbsp lemon juice, 0.5 tbsp mineral water, 1-2 drops of tea tree essential oil, 1 drop of mint essential oil and 1 drop of rosemary essential oil. Apply the mixture onto the face but don’t let it dry sprinkling it all the time with mineral water. Rinse it off in 20 minutes. This mask is extremely good as a skin healer.

Mask for dry skin

Add 30-40 drop lemon juice and 1 tbsp white clay to 1 tea spoon liquid honey. You are free to add some cool water to get a white gruel that is to be put onto the face and neck skin. Rinse it off in 25-30 minutes with cool water and then rub your skin with a piece of lemon. The mask is completed with several cold compresses. Try this one 1-2 times per week.

The skin becomes soft and smooth just like the babies have. Chose the most appropriate recipe for your skin type and clay masks will be your favorite secret of beauty.

Every season change is a serious stress for the skin that’s why you need to care to build up the natural protective barrier for it.

The secret of beauty is in the systematic care with due regards for the balanced matching of cosmetic products. Fall procedures should be aimed at solving 3 main problems: dryness, wrinkles, pigmentation.

Peeling would be a good thing to do in autumn as it refreshes the skin perfectly. Try to find the time for this procedure.

Spare the face skin this season while cleaning. The skin is traumatized anyway by the sun and climate changes.

It means you should stay away from the lotions having spirits in their contents (even if your skin is dry) until the epidermis is restored.

It’s recommended to use scrub two times a week. It will help to erase the horny cells layer and to clean the pores.

Bio stimulating mask can bring fresh and lifted look of the face skin and decollete zone. You should remind yourself to do it once per week as well as moistening mask that improves the tonus and elasticity of the skin and stimulates the growth of young and healthy cells; smoothes out the tiny wrinkles.

Lots of women suffer acne in fall time. Those who have oily skin, cosmetologists advise washing with dietary salt or potable water half mixed with borax powder.

Great remedy against acne in autumn can be a lotion prepared with herbs that you are free to buy in any drugstore any time. Mix up 1 tea spoon mint, chamomile flowers, St. Jone’s wort and linden. Pour 1 glass of boiling water into it and let it drew for 1 hour. Then filter it and add 1 tea spoon glycerin.

To lessen the activity of sebaceous glands and take away the inflammation, you need to take the medicines of sublimed sulphur and A, E and B group vitamins.

Every woman wants her skin to remain charming, tender and fresh but the weather conditions have their effect on it. That’s why you need to take good care about it.

One of the most spread ways of care is masks. The best masks are those made of the natural ingredients.

Fall masks for oily skin.

Vitamin mask

Beat up egg white and add 1 tea spoon sea-buckthorn juice into it. Apply the mask for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with cranberry-acidulous water.

Ashberry mask

Blend 1 tbsp smashed berries with 2 tbsp kefir and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Put the mask onto the skin for 15-20 and then rinse it off with warm water.

Grape mask

Whip egg white into a froth and add 2 tea spoons of grape pulp. Apply the mask for 15-20 min and then rinse off with cool water.

Blend parsley with kefir and lemon juice. Then add starch or bolting into the mixture and carefully put it onto the skin. This recipe does miracles to oily skin.

Autumn gives us a lot of vitamins when you enjoy аruit juices or cook some salads for the home meals. Vitaminizing ourselves from inside we shouldn’t forget that we can do the same from the other side. Imagine yourself sitting on the coach somewhere and smelling fresh fall air while eating grapes. Isn’t that wonderful?

But do you know how good it is for your beauty?

Grape pulp and juice contain 55-87% of water, up to 30% sugar and around 2.5% organic acids (apple and wine ones), pectines (0.2%) and tanning agents (3.4%), ferments, amino acids, flavonoids, anthocyanins, potassium (3gr%), calcium, phosphorus, copper, magnesium, iron, manganese, cobalt, a bit of vitamins С, B1, В2, B3, B12, К, Р, РР, folic acid and carotene.

Its pulp and juice are widely used in cosmetic products. But you can prepare the homemade masks and moisten your skin without going outdoors. Moreover, it’s extremely wholesome and effective to make your skin look well-groomed.

Here are the grape masks and lotions recipes:

Take a wad and wet it with grape juice. Then rub all the cleaned face/neck round and leave it there for 10-15 min. rinse with warn water.

It’s so refreshing to rub the skin with grape ice cubes.

Rub grape juice into the hands skin. And then moisten them with olive oil or cream.

You can do a lotion with grape juice to moisten the skin. Mash the grape pulp, and then strain off the juice. Pour 13 oz of it into the jar and mix it with 1-2 tbsp honey and 1 tea spoon salt. Then filter the mixture once again and add 1 glass of water into it. Use a wad to rub the skin with this lotion that should be on for 1-2 hours. The procedure can be done any time you want to. The lotion can be stored for 1 year in a cool place.

You can also prepare the lotion with grape vinegar: take min decoction (boil 2 tea spoons mint for 2 minutes in 1,06 pint of water) and add 1 pint grape vinegar into it. Cool it and then add 2 tbsp rose water or rose infusion.

Take a linen tissue, moisten it with grape juice and apply it onto the face skin for 15-20 min. after you take it away, rinse your face with warm water, wipe it and put on some nourishing cream. The mask tones up the skin making it velvety, fresh, and prevents it from flabbiness cleaning it. You need 1-1.5 tbsp grape juice for 1 mask. The course is 15-20 procedures, 2-3 times a week.

Blend the equal parts of the grape juice and honey, and then apply it onto the face using a gauze tissue. The mask is recommended for the dry and aging skin.

Mix up a quarter of a glass of grape juice with the same amount of milk. Apply it using the tissue and cover the face with terry towel. Take it off in 15-20 minutes, dry it a bit and nourish with the cream. The mask is advised for the wrinkled skin.

Grape juice-honey-curds masks go well to women with thin sensitive skin. Mash together 1 tea spoon curds and 1 tea spoon honey and add 2 tea spoons grape juice. Put the mixture onto the face thickly for 10-15 min and then wash it away.

Put 1 tea spoon grape juice into the grind egg yolk and apply the mixture onto the face for 15-20 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water. It’s recommended for the dry and normal skin care. Use egg white instead of yolk and you’ll get the mask for the oily skin.

Mash 1 egg yolk with 2 tea spoons vegetable oil, ½ tea spoon honey and grape juice. Put it on in two steps with interval of 5-7 minutes. Rinse it off using the wad wet with cool linden infusion. It goes well for the normal and dry skin.

For the same types of skin the following mask is also recommended: blend 1 yolk with 1 tea spoon grape juice, vegetable oil and sour cream. Stir it until you get a creamy density and then add barley flour or bread. Clean your face first before applying the mask for 15-20 min., rinse it with freshly made tea. 2-3 masks per week are ok. The whole course is 12-15 masks.

If one has oily and wrinkled skin, she should do this mask after rubbing the skin with grape juice: add 2 tea spoons grape pulp into the beaten up egg white. Rinse it off in 15-20 minutes with cool water.

To get a toning mask you should take ½ glass of warm thick cream of wheat and mix it up with 2 yolks. 2 tea spoons honey, 2 tea spoons any vegetable oil, ½ tea spoons salt and 2 tea spoons sweet grape juice. Apply it onto the face skin for 20-30 min and then rinse off with warm water.

As you see, the grapes are extremely rich in vitamins and now think that all of them penetrate into your skin beautifying it gorgeously.

It’s considered to think Asia Minor and Central Asia to be the motherland of the melon where it had been grounded since 4000 B.C. and spread all over the world later on.

Nowadays there are about 1000 different kinds of it. Melons differ in the structure of leaves, flowers, the time of ripening, color of the peel and pulp, smell.

Melon pulp contains 88.5% of water, 0.6% of dietary fiber, 0.6% of ashes, up to 18% of sugar, 0.4% of pectines, 0.2% organic acids, fat, volatile aroma compounds, minerals (iron salt in particular), C vitamins (up to 60%), carotene (0.40%), B1, B2, B3, Е, РР, pantothenic acid, and pretty rich in folic acid (around 6%).

Autumn season implies special care for our skin including protection, nourishing, moistening, and cleaning+toning. Today we are going to talk about the methods we can use to take a good care of the skin on this changing year time.

To protect your skin, you’d better have fall creams that are noted “regenerative” or “protective”. Such creams will help you to build up the protective barrier for the skin against the weather changes.

It’s also worth mentioning that the fall cosmetics should have more fatty components in its composition than the summer one.

But as is generously known, you should know where to stop, because if you overdo it using a too oil rich cream, you simply harm the skim. The thing is that too fatty cream can cork up the pores when heated (at work for instance) leading to the oxygen penetration into the skin cells.

Masks are also of super importance! They should combine both protective and vitamin qualities. The good example is an oat mask.

Prepare this mask at home using the following recipe. Take 3 tbsp warm cream or milk and add them into 1 tbsp rolled oats. Wait until they swell and then apply the mixture onto the face an snack skin. Leave it there for 20 minutes. Then rinse with warm water not soaping after.

You probably think the right way: nourishing is of grand importance. Skin requires vitamin C utterly. See if you can include into your ration this vitamin containing products as much as possible: citrus, apples, bell pepper, kiwi, cabbage, greens.

Fresh barriers, fruits and vegetables are perfect for the homemade-cosmetic masks. But the truth is that sometimes skin can bear them as they are too rich with this vitamin.

That’s why you can feel some burning or tingling on the skin during this procedure. To avoid this effect, use fruit-berry-gruels that will make you less discomfort.

Here also some recipes you are free to use in fall:

1. For oily skin: make a mixture of moistening cream, several drops of mint tincture and grated cucumber that narrows pores (very urgent for oily skin). Put this blend onto the skin for 40 minutes. Then rinse it off with warm water.

2. For combination and normal skin: grate the grapes, cabbage, and apple, pear until you get gruel and then add 1 tbsp nourishing cream. Apply the mix onto the skin of the face and neck for 40 minutes and rinse it off on the expiry of this time.

Teen-age acnes influence the appearance of the young girl and cause depression sometimes. Very often moms complain of the fact that “my girl is a different person:

she became rude, lowered at school, doesn’t want to go outdoors, and cries pretty often…”

So, how to help a teen to go through this and cope with skin problems.
Most teens have oily skin as the sebaceous glands work actively at this peculiar age. Their skin is glossy and as a result there appear black spots on the nose, forehead, and cheeks and even in the ears.

The problem of acne most young people suffer complicates with carbohydrate and fat metabolism disturbances in the organism, gastrointestinal tract functioning disorder, various infections (carious teeth, frequent sore throats and so on.)

Teen acne passes by gradually sometimes leaving scars and dark pigmentary spots. To evade these consequences consult a cosmetologist or dermatologist and keep treating the skin at home.

The main term of the successful battling with acne is a regular skin cleaning. Wash your face in mornings and evenings obligatory: warm water with soft soap in the evening and cool water in the morning. Rub the face with lotions for oily skin after washing. Boric alcohol can be good for the procedure as well.

Vapor baths effect wholesomely if you treat your skin with alcohol containing toner.

The following procedure does well either: soap your face thoroughly and rub the acne spots tenderly with a sponge or cotton wool wetted with three-percent hydrogen eroxide or glycerine, lemon juice and water (in equal proportions). After that, rinse your face with warm water and rub it with a lotion or calendula (1 tbsp tincture to 1 glass of water).

If there is no anything like that, prepare the decoction for face skin rubbing by yourself. Take mint leaves, chamomile, St. John’s wort and milfoil (1 teaspoon of each ingredient) and pour it with 2 glasses of boiling water. Let it draw for 2 hours, then filter and add 2 tbsp 40-percent alcohol.

Herbal masks disinfect and dry the skin well. Take 2 tbsps of each of the following: grinned St. John’s wort, sage, milfoil, coltsfoot and plantain and add 10 tbsps boiling water into it until you get a gruel. Put the mixture onto the face before it cools up. Leave it there for 15-20 min and rinse it with warm water.

Yeasty masks effect as a cleaning and defatting matter: mix 380 – 385 gr. Yeast with three-percent hydrogen peroxide until you achieve a cream mixture and apply it onto the face for 10-15 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water (without soap).

Another mask that cleans the skin well: add 20-30 drops of lemon juice or cucumber into the beaten up protein.

Diet is of material importance when treating teens acne. Give preference to the food rich in protein and diminish the carbohydrates and fat in the ration. Steer clear of the spiery. Lessen salt rate. Eat vegetables, fruit and greenery as much as you want. Include diary products into your ration.

Spend more time under the sun as it acts well to the oily skin but know where to stop as the scorching sun rays can cause an irritation of the skin.

Correct healthy day regime, sound sleep, fresh-air-walks and sport influence greatly the spirit of the teen and the skin condition too.

And the last thing I want you to know for today is don’t touch the face with your hands. Take it as a rule – no clean hands – no touchings!

There are also lots of skin care cosmetic series: creams, cleaning masks, lotions and other.

Being a teen is a wonderful and unforgettable time, don’t waist your time on distracting tiny things!

Those women who have oily skin know how tricky it can be and that it can cause lots of cares. If you can manage somehow with greasy spots on the skin thanks to the matt creams and masks, it’s much more difficult to cope with open or widen pores that are too vivid. The skin looks picked all over or like an orange skin because of such pores. But this problem can be solved.

Cleaning

As they say, cleanliness is next to godliness. For open pores skin it ought to be the manifest. If you can examine the pores under the magnifying glass, you will see the huge wells fulfilled with nasty dark matter composed of the sebum, streets dirt, sweat and make up remains. It’s your direct obligation to release your skin form these heaps to prevent it from bacteria propagating.

Here what you can do:

Washing gels with scrubbing particles. Use them 2-3 times a week. These products perfectly remove the sebum excess, dead or keratinized cells and other elements that block the pores and skin surface.

Advice:

Don’t go too far with scrubs because too intensive peeling can bewilder the sebaceous glands and they can start to work in a frantic rush causing the opposite result. Moreover, the massaging movements should be delicate and tender when applying the gels.

Use masks for deep cleaning (with kaolin for example) and with steaming out effect. They can dissolve dirt in the pores in a few minutes and make them less obvious, and the skin will look fresher.

Advice:

Applying such masks, pay your thorough attention to T-zones (forehead, nose, and chin) that are the most vivid on the face; and less masking to the non-problem areas. Do these masks 1-2 times a weak after skin cleaning.

Pores narrowing

After the procedure of cleaning the pores it’s necessary to close them. There are tonics for this purpose. For instance take tonics based on the rose or cornflower water, tea tree extract or aloe (it’s a perfect choice for acne suffering women).

Advice:

If the tonic produced seems too aggressive for your skin (oily skin can be very sensitive), rub it with a cucumber piece. Its juice has the same effect as tonic has. It narrows the pores and soothes the skin.
Decoction or tincture of sage, calendula, camomile and St. John’s wort effect smoothly the skin. Horsetail and linden soften the skin well.

Moistening

Deprived-of-water oily skin presents a sorry spectacle. That’s why you always need some moisturizer in your beauty arsenal. Preferably, there should be A and E vitamins, solar-control filter and oily skin herbal extracts in the composition.

Advice:

It goes without saying, that moisturizer shouldn’t be rich in oil. Take light, melting and gel textures. Clean your skin before applying them otherwise vital moisture won’t force its way to the epidermis cells through the layers of dust and fat.

Salon procedures

Microdermabrasion and laser peeling help to narrow the pores. The procedure stimulates the collagen generation leading skin to young, smooth and well-groomed condition.

Advice:

The problem with open large pores goes together with some other “amenities” of oily skin – pimples and appearance of skin abnormalities. If the thorough care doesn’t help to normalize the work of sebaceous glands, then go to the cosmetologist without fail.

Another advice:

Don’t prescribe the procedures by yourselves. When you come to the cosmetologist you shouldn’t say: “I want this … or that procedure…”. Ask the specialist to consult you: the good one will give you full information and explain you the heart of the problem and the ways of its solving. This way you can define the level of his/her professionalism and choose something from the procedure list she/he has offered.

Make up secrets

Big mistake is to overdo with the toner. If you put a thick layer of toner onto the porous face skin, it won’t mask it, but will accent the imperfections. So to avoid this kind of effect, apply a bit of moistening matt cream after cleaning and toning the skin. Then make even the face skin color with the thinnest toner layer. Sometimes you can use just the powder.

Advice:

Putting the tone, touch your face as less as possible. Don’t rub the face. The cosmetic sponge is your best helper. It can absorb the sebum excesses and cover the face with the slightly visible toner layer providing the smooth face color. Moreover, it can remore the skin particles in case if it peels off.

Another advice:

Don’t be in a rush when doing all the procedures – cleaning, moistening and make up. Take a break after every step – about 10-15 minutes to let the skin relax a little.

Expensive creams and make up help to keep your skin beauty but the way you clean your skin determines its health. What to do to achieve a clean one? I’m not talking about some already ready make up removers or tonics. The point is about the washing easy remedies you can make at home by yourself. You know the paradox is that sometimes our skin demands home nourishing “food”.

Choose the type of cleaning that fits your skin type best.

So, here are some recipes you can clean the face, neck and even décolleté area with:

Vegetable oil

There’s no doubt that it’s very wholesome to clean the skin using some vegetable oil: sunflower seed oil, corn oil, olive oil, peach oil, sesame oil or just seed oil.

You need 2 teaspoons of any oil, but warm it up a bit before the procedure. At first, wipe the skin with the cotton wool that is slightly oil-moistened. Then wet it abundantly and rub the skin bottom-up (start from the neck). Rinse it out in 2-3 minutes with cotton wool moistened with some herbal potion, tea, boiled water mixed with fruit juice.

Dairy

The skin can be well cleaned and whitened by sour milk, sour clotted milk and kefir all the year round. The rule is: the fatter and rougher the skin is, the more sour the dairy products should be used. Rub your skin with the sour-milk-wet cotton wool.

If your skin is dry and you feel some burning, rinse you face with water and apply some nourishing cream. If you have oily skin, keep a thin layer of sour milk on the face for the night.

Egg yolk

Egg yolks are globally helpful in skin cleaning from time to time. Take 1 yolk, 1-2 teaspoons vegetable oil and the same amount of some fruit juice. Stir the ingredients until you get a uniform mass. Wipe the skin with the mixture thoroughly and leave it for 2-3 min. Then rinse it off with cool water.

Bran

This procedure fits well to oily skin. Take the bran you’ll find: oat bran, rice bran or wheat bran. Grin some oat bran and add 1 tbsp water or boric acid to it. Then mix it carefully and keep in a glass jar. When you want to wash your face, just take 1 tbsp mixture, add some water or sour milk until you get the gruel that’s to be applied onto the skin. Clean the forehead, chin, cheeks, nose and neck with it. Rinse the “gruel” off in 5 min with warm water and then with cool salty/ acidulated water.

Honey

Put a thin layer of honey to the dry skin and massage the place you’ve applied it to with the finger pads until it solidifies. The rests should be taken away by the warm compress. As a result this procedure removes the dead skin cells.

Honey lotion

Take 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon glycerin, 0.5 tbsp whiskey, 45 gr. borax and 0.3 glass of water. Mix up water with borax. Then blend honey and glycerin and add borax water. Put whiskey the last.

Or you can simply mix 1 tbsp honey with 2 glasses of warm water . This easy lotion is very wholesome. Honey water soothes the skin, cleans it and nourishes it well.

Rose extract

Pour almond/ peach oil into 3 cups of dry red rose leaves. Put it onto the water bath until the leaves discoloration. Keep the extract in the tightly closed jar and wipe the face 2 or 3 times a day. This extract cleans the skin perfectly, tones it up and rejuvenates.

Mint tincture

It goes totally well to dry skin. Grind 1 tbsp mint leaves and then pour 1 glass of boiling water into it. Let it draw for 30 min, then filter. This procedure is perfect as a thorough cleaning for porous or aging skin.

Vapor bath

Vapor is very favorable for a blood-vascular skin system; it intensifies blood circulation and perspiration. Under the vapor effect the skin cleans out of the dust, dead cells and so on. Vapor bath is recommended to the coarsened skin or oily acne skin.

Vapor baths are contra-indicated to women with inclination to blood vessels dilation, skin redness, hard heart diseases, bronchial asthma, and blood circulation disturbances.

Vapor bath procedure time limitation varies depending on the skin type:

For dry skin – 3 minutes

For normal skin – 5 minutes

So, you’ll need a terry towel and appropriate pan or any other metal jar with water. Water temperature should be of 140 F. Rinse your face first and tie a headscarf on your head. Cover the head with the towel so that the pan (or whatever you have) will be covered as well. If it’s too hot, make a small air hole in your “house”.

Herbs are preferable for the vapor baths (1 tbsp herbal mixture for 1 procedure):

Herbal mixture for oily skin – rosemary, sage, chamomile, lime blossom, brandy mint, oak bark, horse chestnut, willow & birch leaves.

Salt cleaning

To make a vapor bath more effective, perform a salt cleaning after it. Take some cream, table salt and soda. Dip the cotton wool in to the cream, then into salt and then into soda. Apply it onto the skin bottom-up. If you have oily skin, keep these components on the skin for some minutes.
