Spring/Summer 2011 season is not so far away so we better get ready to change our beauty routing a bit in order to adapt to the seasonal change. These Spring/Summer beauty tips will help you keep your looks fresh, make the right beauty decisions in this hot time of the year.

Cleansing tips

Cleansing is important during hot summer days as we sweat and all the dust in dry climate sits on our skin. So choose a very mild cleanser that will absorb oil excess but on the other hand won’t dry your skin. After washing your face with cleanser apply lightweight moisturizer.

Exfoliation is good once a week. Also opt for mild exfoliator and don’t forget to moisturize your skin. Many people think that in summer their skin doesn’t need additional hydration but they are wrong. We sweat to protect our skin from dehydration so drink plenty of water as in summer we tend to loose it faster and hydrate your skin from the outside. Again don’t use heavy moisturizing creams. Let your skin breathe.

SPF

Want healthy useful skin? Use SPF protection. Sun encourages premature aging, fact. If you want natural tan use special tanner creams with protection. They will allow tan as well as protect your skin from dangerous UV-rays.

Use SPF protection daily even if you aren’t at the beach. Make sure your foundation or moisturizer has minimum SPF 15 protection. Also use lip balms with SPF to protect your lips from dryness.

Sunglasses

We’ve told you before and we’ll repeat it once more, wear sunglasses. Especially when the weather is sunny and light is there to sting your eyes so in order to protect your eyes you squint. And here you go, crow feet, wrinkles. Sunglasses not only protect your skin but also your eyes from getting burned and blind.

Spring/Summer Makeup Tips

Consider that in summer we sweat more than in any other time of the year. So the makeup bleeds, evaporates, disappears or our skin looks shiny and everything together looks very unflattering. So in everyday life you’ll still be top trendy if you go out without any makeup because natural look has been all over Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2011 season. No wonder, cause in such hot weather it is quiet hard to keep your makeup on all day long especially if you go around the city and not sitting in the cool building.

For ultimate natural look keep your brows well-shaped and groomed, apply lightweight foundation with SPF protection if needed or dare to go without any, but be sure to apply any sun protection cream with. If you desperately need at least some mascara you can go with one that  has a waterproof texture or with a clear mascara to define your lashes.

For an evening makeup use primer for your eye and lip makeup to make sure it stays there as long as possible. Try creamy (but not oily) eyeshadow and blush instead of dry one, which have tendency to disappear especially in hot weather.

Summer is a lip gloss season as it doesn’t bleed as the lipstick does so save the latter one for evening makeup and special nights out as long-lasting lip makeup requires time.

Do not touch your face during the day. You will only make it dirty and mess up your makeup. Instead to freshen up use clean water in a pulverizer and spray your face even if you wear makeup. Let your face air dry and you’ll see that water does wonders.

Concerning fragrances. As they tend to vaporize very quickly in summer use solid perfume or aromatic oils (1-2 drops after bath). If you have scentless moisturizing cream you can add a droplet of your perfume each time you apply it to your skin (think neck area).

The makeup was created for Jeremy Scott’s Spring/Summer 2011 show by MAC Cosmetics and was inspired by a combination of “chaos and an imaginary meeting between Marilyn Monroe and Debbie Harry at CBGB’s (music club) in the early 90′s.”

Yeah! It looks like 90’s  are hanging around the neighbourhood again, but it doesn’t scare me, as it is filled with fresh modern spirit, that was created for Jeremy Scott’s Spring/Summer 2011 show! I must admit that I absolutely admire Jeremy Scott New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 Runway Beauty Look! It looks gorgeous!

MARC JACOBS New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 Runway Beauty Look

The makeup was created by NARS for Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer fashion show. Marc Jacobs took his inspiration from the 70′s for his Spring 2011 collection including bleached eyebrows, strong lips, smoky eyes and voluminous hair.

The look is very reminiscent of Angelica Houston in the 70′s – the bleached brows and the deep eyes,

said François Nars.

I wanted them to look like iconic models from the 70′s with a modern approach. Marc had images of what he wanted the makeup to look like – mimicking the colors of the clothing but not matching exactly.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 Runway Beauty Look

At the Oscar de la Renta Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show, “a modern day princess” look was created to match the womanish prints and rich colors. Just look at these gorgeous deep green glossy eyes!

The clothes are so beautiful – classic Oscar,

says Gucci Westman, Revlon’s Global Artistic Director.

We wanted the girls to be vibrant and happy and chose to highlight the face with rich green shades on the eye. The jewel-tones just pop and compliment the entire collection. It’s a great way to lighten up the traditional smoky eye for spring.

The beauty look at L.A.M.B. fashion show Spring/Summer 2011 was classic punk rock glamorous style, with red lips, copper smoky eyes and braided updos. Get the look, as it is totally stunning!

A perfect everyday variant is nude makeup, a hot trend for Fall/Winter 2010/2011. Flawless complexion, contour cheeks and skin-colored lips. For a more special occasion wear brown or pink eyeshadow. To revamp your summer look go easy on self-tanners to make your skin more milky white (will look super vintage sexy with red lips). Use your bronzer to create contour cheeks, a super hot trend for Fall/Winter 2010/2011. Get rid of bright blush and opt for muted metallic colors and satin textures.

He said:

“The name came to me first. We had been approached by Coty to do another men’s scent – we did one many years ago – and I was in the gym, and the name Bang came to me.”

He added:

“As a word, it has so many connotations, including a sexual connotation. And I loved the immediacy and the sound of the word. For me, fragrance is always a multilayered process – Bang was the catalyst for how this fragrance came to be. You’re drawn to try it, to experience it.”

The 47-year-old fashion guru appears naked in the advertising campaign covering some places with the fragrance mockup. He was persuaded to do so by his business partner Robert Duffy.

He said:

“Robert and I work closely with Coty on these projects, and he said, ‘Marc, you look so great now – you should be the model for men’s fragrance.’ My immediate reaction was, I don’t know. But then I came to see that it made sense. Men’s fragrance, unlike women’s in a certain way, is very personal. It’s a layer on top of skin – for women, it can be like changing a makeup colour, but not for men.

And also:

“Once I agreed to be the model, I couldn’t see what I would wear to express this. We tried it with clothes, but it didn’t work. Then Juergen Teller, who shot the campaign, had the idea for the silver Mylar, and it all came together. The silver Mylar also gives it that flash, that bang.”

I’d like to buy a piece of this scent for my darling.

Diane Von Furstenberg’s variant of bows looks a bit soft. Bows seem to prolong forehead thus opening the face.

Diane presented huge bows hanging like dog ears or stucking like a satellite dish. Pretty merry hair dressing for the next spring.

Jason Wu gave us the chance to try the only-black ribbons wrapped around the head and through the hair. It looks exclusive, elegant and 100%-chic!

You’ll be in vogue donning the big bunny ear bows in your hair. Lively colors and mixed prints (dots, spots, plaid, gingham and tribal)!

Fabrics were equally extreme, with taffeta, chiffon and patent leather among the most decorative.
