Beyonce finally launched her debut fragrance Beyonce Heat (I’ve already posted the Heat ad video before) attending Fragrance Launch After Party at Catch the Fever at 15 Union Square West on Tuesday (February 2) in New York City.

The price of the scent is ranging between $39 and $59 and will be sold in department and specialty stores.

Wearing the red dress from Marc Bouwer the 28-year-old singer told Stylelist:

“I wanted it to be original and I didn’t want it to be like all the other celebrity brands. It’s been two years in the making. Every little detail is very personal, so I’m extremely proud.”

Pamela Anderson is non-stoppable in attracting attention. This time she was a good girl. Pamela Anderson promotes her new fragrance Malibu at Rite-Aid in Ardmore and Nerberth Pennsylvania on Sunday, Jan. 23.

Pamela looked like a real Barbie girl. The 42-year-old socialite signed autographs for those who purchased one of her scents.

At Rite-Aid, people can purchase her perfumes, which come in 1.7-ounce and 3.4- ounce quantities, and retail for $39 and $49.

Recently she’s been invited as a face of the wonderful perfume ad campaign for Avon. The fragrance is called Eternal Magic by Avon.

She does her role enjoying it. That’s charming.

The face of L’Oréal Paris, Eva Longoria shared her happy news with the public: her debut fragrance called Eva by Eva Longoria (celebs tradition) will hit the stores in April 2010.

The Hollywood star commented her being allergic to the scents:

“I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear,” she says. “So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.”

The 34-year-old Desperate Housewives actress also told WWD:

“I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn’t already been done. But I enjoyed the process. [I wanted] to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.”

Eva by Eva Longoria features top notes of citrus, neroli, bergamot tea and aldehydes. The heart notes include sheer jasmine, muguet, violet and freesia, and the scenes features base notes of skin musk, amber and sandalwood.

The perfume, housed in a curvy bottle meant to mimic the contours of a woman’s body, and will debut in more than 1,000 stores worldwide in April, retailing for $45-$58.

The world known supermodel Kate Moss has her own cultivated measure of taste and limit in some aspects, though sometimes she runs counter to it. But in any case recently she blamed Katie Price on wearing too much of the perfume.

She said:

“Don’t wear too much perfume, so that it leaves a trail behind you. Have you seen Katie Price’s programme? She wears too much. I’ve never actually smelt it, but she sprays for about 10 minutes! I’m like, oh my God, what is she doing? I don’t think that’s a good look. It should be subtle enough that you can smell it, but no so that it’s overdone.”

Tastes differ! Bit I can agree that there is a culture of fragrance wearing anyway. Andt Kate – who has fragrances of her own – won’t leave the house without a scent.

She told Company magazine:

“I feel a bit naked if I go out without any perfume on. I don’t feel fully dressed without it. I always spray around my head then behind the knees.”

The Sex and The City star is to launch the new fragrance inspired from the body odour.

Sarah Jessica Parker has been assigned to the perfume world market by her Lovely scent and now it’s going to be something very new and different from all the existing in there.

And the idea behind the fragrance is to make it smell just like B.O.

She tells:

“I’m working on a new genderless fragrance that’s not out yet. I can’t even tell you what it’s called. It has taken me three years to decide on the scent because I really like B.O. and I think it’s sexy.”

She added:

“I wanted to figure out a way to make it palatable to everybody. I was like, ‘How do you get B.O. in a bottle and make an atomiser of it?’ Then it was all about trying to capture the sense of naughtiness in a bottle that it would be good for a man and a woman.”

The scent will follow-up for 2010.

Parker has been trying out the new scent on journalists and bloggers during her press tour for new movie Did You Hear About the Morgans? staring with Hugh Grant.

The latest venture of Beyonce Knowles’s business line is her own eau de parfum called Heat.

Beyonce can currently be seen on screen in the adverts for Emporio Armani Diamonds, and previously starred in commercials for Tommy Hilfiger’s True Star fragrance from 2005 until 2006.

But now she hits her Heat!

In the first posters for the perfume, a scantily-clad Beyonce poses in nothing but a red satin dressing gown under the tagline ‘Catch the fever’.

Beyonce told Women’s Wear Daily:

“It’s called Heat, so we wanted the ads to be really steamy and dewy. My sexiest moments are when I’m just getting out of the tub or the shower and I’m clean, so I wanted to incorporate that in the ads.”

In the accompanying TV advertisement, Beyonce is seeing writhing around in the bath before walking away from the bathroom in her revealing kimono.

Obsession with celebrities can go far, even to creation of perfume based on the idol’s DNA. Maybe it was this or something else that prompted a Beverly Hills company to make a line of “Antiquity” fragrances using DNA of dead celebrities. The scents they already have include those with code of Elvis Presley, Albert Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, etc.

The idea even went further and now the company creates individualized scents on a customer’s cheek swab. It might be interesting to have your own perfume.

It is said that celebrities’ DNA was taken from hair clippings provided by renowned celebrity hair collector John Reznikoff. The company doesn’t reveal its secrets of course.

I can’t go into our secret process, but we base the fragrance on the genetic code,” said Dr. Diva Verdun, chief development officer at MyDNAFragrance.com.

Verdun explained that buyers won’t get a real piece of their idol’s biology in the bottle and it is unlikely that a revearse DNA analysis can be made off the perfume. All the process is purely scientific, she claims. But if we can’t have it how do we know that it includes DNA of the people we are interested in? Isn’t that just another trick to fool customers?

Gerard Butler, who has been named the favourite British star in Hollywood, claims he needs to have his own fragrance.

The actor is known for his great acting and roles in films like The Phantom of the Opera, The Ugly Truth, 300 and others. But he has nothing else to boast, and feels this is something he should work on.

The Scottish star is convinced he’s the only British actor without his own cosmetics line.

He told British radio station BBC Radio 1:

I need a perfume. I need to tell my publicist to get on that. He’s not got me any worthwhile branding. Clive Owen has his aftershave, Ewan McGregor has cologne. What do I have? Nothing. I don’t know what it would be like, but I need one.”

What can I say? I’ve always thought a person must have a talent or at least a strong dedication to create something. If showing off is the only goal, then no success is promised.
