    The Bandidas star Salma Hayek arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Monday (June 21) to show off her stunning figure on The Late Show with David Letterman.

    Promoting her latest film Grown Ups (on screen on June 25), the 43-year-old actress told Dave that she’s eaten bugs and has recipes to share.

    “These little ants fried are amazing – with a little bit of guacamole,” she shared. “And the worms … there’s many, many different recipes for those.”

    Salma Hayek added:

    “The little grasshoppers have a smoky flavor to them. It’s the way they cook them, and it’s really good.”

    The Heartbreakers actress Jennifer Love Hewitt is still in the battle against the weight she gained in late 2007. She looks well with the womanly curves she has now. She is the kind of women who doesn’t need to be thin.

    She said:

    “I think I’m a work in progress. But I feel it’s so much better than it was a year-and-a-half ago, and I feel like in another eight months, it’s going to be so much better than it is today.”

    Jennifer doesn’t want to be thin but she admits that the body of Gisele Bundchen is so perfect. She probably would love to have the same.

    She commented:

    “I’d want to have Gisele Bundchen’s body. Even though she’s tall and skinny, she does have curves. And I think that’s hot. Halle Berry also is kind of amazing.”

    The 31-year-old beauty says she was determined to do something about her figure after the weighty pictures of Jennifer were published.

    “I just really worked on my mental part for a couple of weeks, got myself in a really good mindset. I had to get over the embarrassment of the photos.”

The 36-year-old beauty shows off her carved feminine body in stripy bikini. In the exclusive she talks about dealing with teasing about her body and how she stays positive.

    Here are the highlights:

    On feeling good about yourself:

    “We should be more like men, God bless ‘em. They can take their shirts off and show their man boobs, and they don’t give a hoot. But women are so critical of themselves. We can be gorgeous and hot and still be embarrassed to wear a tank top. So if you can’t stop looking in the mirror, at least try to not think badly about yourself when you do.”

    On her diet:

    “I try to stay away from an all-or-nothing mentality when it comes to food. It’s like a pendulum: The more extreme I am–like saying, ‘I’m not going to eat any carbs’–the further it’s going to swing to the other side and I’m going to binge. My dad sends me fresh salmon and halibut from Alaska as well as dried nettles, which I like to put into soups. I also eat a lot of raw vegetables or bitter greens, like kale and dandelion greens, lightly sautéed in olive oil. People are so fat-phobic these days, but eating good fats is important, which is why I always try to get some olive oil, coconut oil, and avocado into whatever I’m making.”

    On being called “the chubby Renee Zellweger” in the media years ago:

    “My feelings were so hurt by that story, I ended up bingeing on an entire cake. Afterward, I actually tried to throw it all up, but thankfully I couldn’t do it. It made me think, ‘I can’t go down this road.’ I had seen so many performers develop eating disorders or try to control their weight with drugs, and I decided I would do no harm to my body.”

    Looking sporty and hot in the bikini, calls women for being strong and fearless in the Shape mag July 2010 issue. Her words make sense!!!

    American actress Kate Hudson has gone on a strict and work outs after she gained some pounds for The Killer Inside Me movie premiered on January 24, 2010 at Sundance Film Festival as the role required her to ”look plainer, not glamorous”.

    Counting calories helps Kate to shift the excess weight as well as going to the gym in a bid.

    She said:

    “I’ve been counting calories and it works.”

    Kate was speaking on The Late Show with David Letterman and the host tried to tempt the actress from her with a butter-coated waffle.

    When presented with it, Kate replied:

    “It’s so much butter. What kind of butter is it? I don’t really want to eat this. So right now this is about three bites is like 100 calories.”

    Dieting Kate Hudson, the mother-of-one recently spoke about her appearance and said she would happily have injections to stay wrinkle-free.

    The 30-year-old beauty said:

    “I was in a press conference once, and someone says, ‘So I can tell you’ve never had !’ Is that a compliment? Or are you trying to say I’m starting to get wrinkles? I literally was like, ‘What?’

    She added:

    “Everyone’s so obsessed with who gets , but it’s great! Are you kidding? The fact that women can avoid going under the knife, and get a little treat and not have to worry about it? I’m glad it’s there for when it’s time.”

    Do you know that breakfast, including eggs, helps to lose weight 65% faster than any other food of the same calorie content, for example buns and rolls. The second are higher in carbohydrates.

    Boiled eggs help dieting

    Scientists from the Connecticut University decided to study this point more. They were intended to know how these two kinds of breakfast affect appetite and the amount of food men eat during the day. 22 volunteers were under the experiment. The fist morning the tested ate the protein breakfast, the second – breakfast rich in carbohydrates. Every day men were invited for a lunch where food was unlimited. Despite the identical calorie content of the breakfasts, the testees behaved differently.

    Eggs Help to Lose Weight

    The day when the participants had eggs, they ate 112 calories less. And the general calorie intake during the day was 400 calorie less. According to the blood tests, the ghrelin hunger hormone level was higher through the day when the breakfast consisted of buns and rolls. It’s a well know fact that ghrelin stimulates appetite and takes over leptin that cuts it down.

    Hence, Maria Luz Fernandez, Ph.D recommends having eggs for the breakfast regularly. That will make you feel full for a quite long time.

    The desire to taste something tasty pushes us for the extreme measures: we buy in the sweets, cakes, tarts and then blame ourselves for the fit of weakness. To avoid the feeling of remorse after such kind of stomach impulses, keep dried fruits at your fingertips.

    Dried fruits substitute sweets

    Dried fruits can be the true salvation for whose, who like sweets. They can perfectly substitute confectionery as they are rich in carbohydrates (fructose, sucrose, glucose) but they contain half calorie in comparison with sugar. Due to the fact that fructose (fruit sugar) is so to say packed into the dietary fiber, it can be absorbed limitedly not allowing the bowels to digest more sugar and cholesterol than it’s necessary. Thus insulin isn’t overrated. The sweets, on the contrary, boost it. So, if to choose between chocolate sweets and dried fruits, the later is less deplorable for your body shape.

    Dried fruits have a lot of other advantages over the sweet dainties. First of all, it’s absolutely natural product not containing colouring agents, emulsifiers, stabilizers, nitrites and any food additives. In fact, these are the same fruits but without water.

And if you include a bit of prunes, fig or dates, you’ll never have problems with the intestine as they are rich in dietary fibers that help the gastrointestinal tract work properly.

    Moreover, prunes have a lot of other digestible helpers like organic acids. They increase the acidity inside the bowels and delete the harmful microorganisms. But don’t forget that you should know the limits: dried fruits are labeled as the concentrated products. So, eat them moderately.

    One of the main benefits of the dried fruits is the fact that they can be stored for a long time not losing their wholesome characteristics all the year round. They are quite compact: it’s easy to put some of them into your clutch.

    How to chose and store the dried fruits?

    1. First of all, give the preference to the well dried fruits, which are packed into the special packs (sorry for tautology).

    2. Light dried fruits (for example dried apricots) darken during drying but the producers process them with sulfur dioxide to keep the salable condition. If you don’t want to eat chemical stuff together with dried fruits, chose the ones with defects and not very bright.

    3. Examine the dried fruits well before purchasing. Don’t take the over dried or too soft ones. It indicates to the fact that the production and storing conditions were far from appropriate.

    4. Wash them thoroughly!

    5. Don’t store them in polyethylene, otherwise they’ll rot quickly. Store them in a linen bag.

    Stay slim and indulge yourself with sweet small joy. Dried fruits are the yummy diet!
