“Lily is unlikely to have her contract renewed. Rimmel want to appeal to US audiences and are planning to launch their new faces soon.”
Solange Knowles, sister of singer Beyonce, is being lined up to take part alongside American actress Zooey Deschanel. Georgia May Jagger and Coca Rocha have already signed up for the campaign.
A spokesman for Rimmel declined to comment.

The president of Coty Beauty that owns the Rimmel brand, Renato Semerari, said:
“These three strong, successful and uniquely beautiful women will help ensure that Rimmel London’s image continues to be modern and globally relevant.”
According to WWD, the Coty Inc’s chief executive officer, Bernd Beetz said that the company is thrilled to welcome the new faces:
“Zooey, Solange and Alejandra each bring a distinct look and personality to Rimmel London, expanding the brand’s visibility and strengthening Coty’s global color platform.”

Lancôme has just announced that Julia Roberts will be their global ambassadress. The French luxury cosmetics brand has chosen the Hollywood Pretty Woman as the face of the brand. No wonder!
The president of Lancôme International, in a statement, Youcef Nabi commented:
“By her remarkable personality and career, Julia Roberts is an emblematic woman of her time.”
He also added:
“Her exceptional talent, her radiance and her strong commitments perfectly echo Lancôme’s values. We are convinced she will embody the brand in the most sublime way possible.”
The 42-year-old American actress remains quiet about additional specifics of her role.

Research by Bionsen, a natural deodorant company, has reavealed that an average woman applies approximately 515 different synthetic chemicals on her body every single day with makeup and other grooming products.

The British fashion house Burberry has announced the decision to produce a range of cosmetics. The collection will be made under the collaboration with Inter Parfums SA and include about a hundred of products for skin, lips and eyes.
Phillippe Benacin, chairman and managing director of Inter Parfums SA, commented:
It gives another dimension to the brand.”
The new range will be launched in July 2010 and available from about 30 stores around the world.
