It’s a precedent for Estée Lauder! For the first time the illustrious brand partnered with a fashion designer. And the lucky one is Derek Lam. They teamed up to create a beauty look for a Fashion Week show Fall/Winter 2010 – the make-up and nail look for his runway show, to be more exact.

Blue eyes, matte skin, bare cheeks, copper lips and neutral nails held sway the catwalk at Capitale, where the designer showcased his American West-inspired collection.

Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux led a team of 15 artists to create the look for the 22 models to complement the designer’s inspiration, while famed manicurist Jin Soon Choi and her team polished their nails with a new color that was tested backstage.

In a press release, Pecheux said:

“When Derek showed me the fabrics that inspired his Fall 2010 collection – bold and muted tones mixed with earthy pigments including terracotta, greens and browns – I thought the make-up shades should be complimentary. So we chose a blend of bold blue shadows on the eyes, shimmering copper lips, and flawless, matte skin created with a light foundation — an on-trend beauty preview of what we will see for Fall 2010.”

Jessica Simpson posted her Twitter picture wearing a facial mask yesterday due to her upcoming VH1 reality show, The Price Of Beauty.

The 29-year-old singer tweeted:

“Thanks La Mer for the upper and lower zone radiant mask.”

Do you remember those rumors about her and Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan? So, he commented on it:

“She asked me to help her out on the theme song for her new TV show,” Billy told the Chicago Tribune. “[The show] has an interesting concept. She goes around the world to show how different people perceive beauty. In some cultures, bigger is better. In some, smaller is better. It’s interesting… I ended up writing part of [the theme song]. It has a little bit of an alternative rock edge, but it’s still very pop-y.”

Jessica looks so funny with this mask on, but in fact we are all the same when nourishing and beautifying ourselves.

The super model Elle Macpherson has been wearing the men’s aftershave Vetiver by Guerlain for 28 years after stealing the scent from an ex-boyfriend.

The 46-year-old Australian star shared about her beauty regime:

“In Australian culture, beauty is not particularly idealised. I grew up making face masks with egg whites. I still don’t wear a lot of make-up. When I’m working, I Use Revlon Age Defying foundation – it has a fantastic texture. In the evening, I wear black kohl around my eyes, and remove it before bed with Vaishaly Cleansing balm.”

The mother-of-two also credited her good looks and figure with drinking lots of water and regular exercise.

“Like my mother, I used Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, before developing my own product, Body Silk. And I’ve worn Vetiver by Guerlain since I was 18. I think I nicked it from a boyfriend. I’m fortunate to have olive skin, as I’m a sun worshipper.”

Having her own line of beauty products and lingerie, Elle told Style magazine:

“I’m more inspired by wellness than beauty; I do Pilates, and when abroad I surf and paddle-board. Water is my biggest beauty tip: I drink three litres a day. And a pair of large, dark sunglasses.”

A source told the National Enquirer magazine:

“Cher also has a spiritual adviser, homeopath and naturopath on standby to keep her mentally and physically centred. She calls them her ‘wellness crew’ – and they set her back another $20,000 over the course of a movie shoot.”

A clinical aesthetician at the Beverly Hills Institute of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, Marilyn Martinis, explains some of the treatments saying that the LED light therapy would give the star’s skin a more youthful and toned up look.

She said:

“The LED treatments use a pulse light to treat dark pigmentation and improve the appearance of small blood vessels in the skin. The micro-current treatments stimulate facial muscles and temporarily tighten the face by using a galvanizing current.”

Previously Cher has described herself as the “poster girl” of cosmetic surgery.
Well, spending $2,500-a-week on a “wellness crew” is what she can afford, in fact.

“I’m a terrible workaholic and when I’m not working I’m working out to get rid of the chocolate calories. If I stop I’ll actually be giving myself more free time.”

Nicole recently admitted that she always thought she was ugly until she joined the group in 2003.

She commented:

“Growing up, I was incredibly shy. And awkward. And lanky! I always thought I was an ugly duckling. I guess it worked out OK in the end. Ultimately though, true beauty shines from within.”

Interesting, because in fact she wasn’t a tyro at the music industry to that time. But only the Pussycat Dolls helped her disclose who she really is.

She said:

“I know joining the group helped me to find out who I am – and I love the message that any woman can be strong, confident and sexy.”

“She has the most amazing handbags,” says Collea. “Designers send them to her. They are beautiful.”
