Sephora Teams Up With Pantone To Help Customers Choose Foundation
Beauty retail giant Sephora is teaming up with the color expert company Pantone to help their customers choose the right foundation color and shade. Sephora + Pantone Color IQ will help you choose the perfect match from a thousand foundation colors for your skin tone simply by scanning the surface of the skin with CAPSURE. A small device developed by Pantone last century captures any color from any material even patterned and textured.
The service that is already available at Sephora 5 Times Square will help the customers’ capsure their skin tone and match it to one of the foundations available at Sephora. Lisa Herbert, Pantone’s vice president of consumer licensing said that:
Skin tones are comprised of many distinct shades so developing this particular application for our color measuring technology was an exciting challenge for us. Even within the broader range of fairest ivory to deepest ebony, there are nuances that need to be calibrated correctly to determine the right match, and this solution eliminates many of the variables that can affect shade selection.
Sephora and Pantone has already worked on a collaboration line of eyeshadow from Pantone’s trend book. It is a great solution for those who struggle to find a perfect foundation shade for their skin tone. This service will also become available at Sephora Powell Street in San Francisco from 2, August.
