Gwyneth Paltrow’s Slim Healthy Figure Secrets
Gwyneth Paltrow showed the results of her new Clean programme. She looks impressive! The 36-year-old mother of two decided to start the healthy dieting program after gaining several pounds while on a ‘majorly fun and delicious relax and enjoy life phase’.
The Clean detox programme has been designed by New York cardiologist Dr Alejandro Junger.
The main idea of the diet is in giving up orange juice, dairy, alcohol, sugar, wheat, caffeine and processed foods, raw fish and soy. That’s not everything yet!
Also you should give up proper breakfast and lunch, if you want to have dinner, as you’re only allowed one main meal a day.
It’s also about slurping several spoonfuls of olive oil each night to help ‘lubricate’ whatever you are allowed to eat on its way down.
The actress has revealed the rather depressing details of her gruelling detox programme on her website Goop. The program was extremely tough sometime and very pleasant on some places as well.
Gwyneth has undertaken daily meditation and skin-brushing sessions, massages, and hot and cold baths to try and rejuvenate her skin. Miss Paltrow has created her own set of menus for the programme.
But now we can see the results of her efforts. Recently was showed off at the Children of the City Champions of Hope benefit gala in New York, when she arrived in a thigh-skimming Preen dress teamed with Giuseppe Zanotti ankle boots. The star looked the picture of health.
However, the programme followers are warned that it can cause severe headaches and that a doctor must be consulted before starting.
UK dieticians have also declared strongly against detox diets championed by some celebrities, saying they are a waste of time.
Dr Frankie Phillips, a spokesman for the British Dietetic Association said:
“The whole idea of detox is nonsense. The body is a well-developed system that has its own built-in mechanisms to detoxify and remove waste from top to toe.
Skin, the gut and liver and kidneys are all chemically-controlled powerhouses that respond to signals in the form of, for example, hormones, to remove waste products – typically detoxifying the body constantly.”
But Miss Paltrow keeps fanning it. She said on her website of the Clean programme:
“I followed it to the letter and I can report that it worked wonders. I feel pure and happy and much lighter.”
In 2008 she said she had been a vegetarian for already 15 years but she obviously had no trouble handling a roast chicken.
