A 51-year-old actress Fran Drescher is to launch her own skincare line aptly named FranBrand.
Being a uterine cancer survivor Fran wants every woman to understand products containing carcinogen are dangerous. Her line was created based on a partnership with HSN. FranBrand includes nine pieces and utilizes carcinogen-free natural technology and ingredients designed to yield younger and healthier skin. The line is packaged in glass containers and other eco-friendly recyclable materials.
We’re so 21st century doll-good for the body, good for the planet and good for the soul,” says Fran.
Some part of the proceeds from FranBrand products will go to benefit Cancer Schmancer, Fran’s cancer organization which is intended to diagnose women’s cancer in Stage 1.
Fran, who outlived all that terrible therapy against uterine cancer in 2000, has dedicated her life to help and teach women how to live preventatively.
The FranBrand is a natural extension of my mission and my story. I’m not glad I had cancer, but now my life has a purpose.”
The FranBrand line consists of cleanser, toner, serum, body and facial creams, eye treatments for both day and night and lip balm.
Fran isn’t going to stop and in 2010 she plans to expand her cosmetic range and include hair care, make-up, sun care and bath and body.
To promote her skincare line Fran will appear on HSN on November 10. Items will start from $16 for lip balm to $32 for facial cream. Besides, the collection will be available on HSN.com.
