First Look: Katie Holmes Fronts Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Ad
The rumors that Katie Holmes is to become the first ever celeb face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics surfaced in Fall last year and now the first picture from the brand’s ad campaign. Holmes who fronted some fashion and jewelry ad campaigns before hasn’t had a beauty deal while it is also the first time Bobbi Brown choice a celebrity to represent her cosmetics brand.
I really like her philosophy that makeup makes you feel beautiful. I’ve always been a fan of her makeup, because it’s so easy to apply. Her color palettes aren’t extreme, so when I first started wearing makeup it felt comfortable and I didn’t feel like I had too much on, which can happen.
The actress wears a glam dark smokey eye makeup in the ad to represent Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick that comes in eight shades that include Bark, Forest, Golden Pink, Iced Blue, Sand Dune, Shadow, Vanilla, and Violet Plum. The brand combined intense pigments, oils and other ingredients for a creamy texture and prolonged wear, which lasts up to 8 hours. The product will be available in February at $28 per stick.
The Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick seems to be an easy-use product as it looks like an eye pencil that thanks to creamy texture will slide on the lid providing for easy and accurate application.
The colors in the palette are beautiful ranging from easy neutrals to more dramatic teal and plum. The latter and a shade Bark are said to be used to create Holmes’ look above, according to Glamour. The cream pencil shadow is a great fast way to apply eyeshadow to the lower or upper lids without crumbles on face as in case with powder eyeshadow. Blend the edges using your fingers and there’s no need for a brush even. It also seems a better solution for creamy eyeshadow in terms of hygiene as you don’t have to dip fingers into the pot to get the color.
