Drew Barrymore To Launch Makeup Collection With Wal-Mart

The CoverGirl and a Lancome spokeswoman (2004-05), Drew Barrymore has a good deal of experience in the beauty world. But she’s not just a face, she’s been a co-creative director at P&G Co.’s Cover Girl since 2007 and now she’s off to launch her own cosmetic line. The actress who also has her own wine is set to launch a makeup collection with Wal-Mart in January. The Spring 2013 makeup collection is called Flower and was developed by a French manufacturer, Maesa Group with the actress involved in the process as well.
I think, if you really care about things, then you just naturally get involved. I don’t want to sit there and hope it works out. I want to be in the middle, in the mix, making sure it works out,
said the star.
The collection will offer a mascara, a loose powder and even a BB cream. WWD already had a preview of the collection that also includes lipstick and eyeshadow. Packaged in red, white, black and gold tubes, jars and cases the Flower collection will be priced at $4.98 to $13.98 but featuring custom-made formulas that are much more expensive than those used in mass market beauty products.

The actress talked about the Ultimate Mascara which has a brush that can be transformed into three different forms to achieve different effect.
If you are feeling thickening one day, just leave it [the brush] scrunched. If you just want lengthening, leave it long, but if you want that amazing, grab it, clump it, thicken it, brush-out quality, you move the wand around,
Barrymore explained.
The affordable collection will be presented and exclusively sold at 1,509 Wal-Mart stores starting January. What do you think?
