"Velvet: a material with a duel personality, luxurious but also simple, noble put also humble… this duality is at the heart of what we do." Dolce & Gabbana inspired by the velvet and Italy have designed a collection of scents bearing a name of this fine fabric.
Dolce & Gabbana has created a collection of scents called Velvet. Inspired by Italy and velvet designers wanted to capture the luxury and nobility of velvet and Italy in their perfume collection that consists of six scents luxurious and subtle at the same time. They are Velvet Sublime, Velvet Love, Velvet Desire, Velvet Wood, Velvet Patchouli, and Velvet Vetiver. Each scent is packaged into a simple bottle with clear lines crowned with gold and velvet cap.
The Velvet Collection revisits the splendour of vintage Italian ingredients and derives its name from the precious texture of a fabric laden with timeless perfection and modern possibility.
Each scent has stands independently in terms of ingredients and inspiration behind it. The scents include such ingredients as neroli, gardenia, patchouli, tuberose, benzoin, frangipani, vetiver, and galbanum.

“Vetiver: a tantalizing scent replete with elegance and classic perfection. I wore it as a boy to feel as an adult.” Domenico Dolce.
Price for each bottle of 50 ml is said to be around €170 ($195). The collection of scents are available at Harrods.
