HBO TV drama series True Blood has inspired another beauty line. A collection consists of of nail polish, lipstick, body cream, body veil, and a Forsaken fragrance. The nail polishes come in blood red shades with a streak of magenta in Strange Love inspired by baby vamp Jessica. Neutral polishes inspired by Anna Paquin’s Sookie come in taupe, shimmer and beige. The Forsaken fragrance combines both feminine and sultry with the fruity notes and blooming jasmine. The Forsaken Body Cream is of same scent as the fragrance while the body veil gives the skin shimmery glow. The collection also includes candles and diffusers. The products will go on sale on HSN in August.
The ever-creative MAC is doing another collaboration collection with Archie Comics to create makeup inspired by the Archie’s Girls Betty and Veronica. MAC Archie’s Girls beauty line will be released in Spring 2013 and while waiting you can text MAC the name of your favorite Archie’s girl. Depending on who wins, Betty or Veronica, the character’s fans will be the first to know when the collection will be out.
According to BeautyHigh, Ciaté that has recently launched a Caviar manicure is said to launch nail polish that will create a velvety texture on your nails. Ruffian has done velvet nails for their RTW Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show. The nail polish will go on sale at Sephora next month. What do you think? Would you like to sport velvet nails?
