Beauty News: Nicole Richie To Launch Perfume, J.Crew And Face Stockholm Create Lipstick And More
Nicole Richie is to launch her first fragrance Nicole By Nicole Richie this September. The famous socialite and fashion designer told WWD that the fragrance will be a mix of various scents including blackberry, orange, sandalwood and papyrus and is inspired by her mother:
I have a very traditional Southern mom, you never left the house without lotion. Over her lotion went oil and perfume, she was very put together from head to toe. It wasn’t just a one-dimensional smell; there were many different layers.
Commenting on the fragrance bottle design Richie said:
I am very particular in the way that I create. We are in an interesting time right now where women aren’t just one thing, there are many different parts to a woman. So I wanted to create a very intricate bottle that was still elegant, but not so in-your-face girly at the same time.
J.Crew And Face Stockholm have teamed up to create two bold lipstick colors. The limited edition line comes in chili flake and French martini, bright red and coral made just for statement lips in creamy texture.
Kristen Stewart’s Balenciaga Florabotanica ad has surfaced and it looks gorgeous. The Twilight star is wearing a bright printed dress and heavy boots. Her hair is styled effortlessly and it appears as if she wears very little makeup. The ad is brightly illustrated showing off a huge fragrance bottle with striped cap. The fragrance was created to appeal to younger customers but not with girly-only aesthetics but also with an edge to it. The fragrance is out in September exclusively at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodma and in October in around 300 U.S. stores.
