3 Beauty Videos: Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara Ad And More
Beauty brands are getting more and more creative in their marketing. While Yves Saint Laurent creates social media inspired eyshadow quad Lancôme, Chanel, and Karl Lagerfeld stick to video ads but assume a different creative approach. Lancôme’s new mascara Hypnôse Star ad campaign is fronted by Daria Werbowy and Betty Boop. The mascara with a new triangular brush was inspired by the 30′s which is reflected in the ad.
Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara Ad
Chanel has created an unusual ad for their Rouge Allure lipstick line that is out this Fall. The video shows a model Inguna Butane with her face covered with variously shaped glass pieces while her lips are covered in different shades of the new lipstick. Chanel’s makeup creative director Peter Philips was inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s a mirror coat from Chanel’s Paris-Bombay pre-fall collection. Rouge Allure will be out in September in 16 shades.
Karl Lagerfeld who has teamed up with Shu Uemura to create a makeup line has given a sneak peek, a teaser video of what to expect from this collaboration. The cartoon-like video shows Karl Legerfeld creating Mon Shu Girl using Shu Uemura eyeshadows, which the fahsion designer really uses to create his sketches.
