Comme des Garcons has created a Garage fragrance that smells like a, well, garage. The fragrance consist of laurel aldehyde, vetiver acetate, notes of kerosene, Chinese cedarwood, plastic florals, and leather.
Demeter is specializing in weird perfumes. There are such scents as Turpentine, Paint and Funeral Home in Demeter’s asortment. This fragrance was actually conceived as a floral scent with all the chrysanthemums, lilies, gladiolus, and carnations, but later was enhanced with a touch of mahogany and oriental carpet. A qoute from fragrance description says:
Now our founding perfumer personally did NOT like most white flowers so this was a tough fragrance for him to develop. When a friend first smelled this one and exclaimed: ‘it smells like my Grandfather’s funeral… call it Funeral Home!’, we did.
Etat Libre d’Orange have a fragrance inspired by a fat electrician. The scent includes vanilla bean, vetiver, chestnut cream, myrrh, olve leaves and opoponax.
