Fashion Week has showed us a lot of interesting beauty trends. Many of them are bold and dramatic which makes us look forward to see how they will be interpreted by fashionistas around the world. The nail trends are also interesting and bold.
Colors & Hues
Fall/Winter 2012 trendy nail colors are dark red as seen at Yigal Azrouel and Naeem Khan, purples as seen at Ruffian, and blue as seen at Erdem, Karen Walker and Rachel Antonoff. Bright and deep blue can also be worn in patterns as well as metallic finish.
French Manicure/Decorated Tips
Donna Karan Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show
Various French manicure designs have been spotted at Fashion Week shows including Donna Karan, Jay Cioci, and Thakoon. It was a combination of nude and dark red and black tips at Donna Karan and Thakoon while at Jay Cioci models spotted tips made of fishnets. Behnaz Sarafpour had the tips decorated in gold and silver.
Neutral nails were seen at Victoria Beckham, M. Patmos, and DKNY shows. The hues can be nude or light pink. These polish hues help create a cool and well-groomed look that can be worn in everyday life and work with any outfit.
Flirty and fun nail art designs have been spotted at Kate Spade where models wore black and white polka dot nails; Nicole Miller has shown off bright colorful nails, while Rachel Antonoff has shown a light blue flower on the red base nail art. Marian Newman has created sushi-printed Minx for Fred Butler.
Shape & Finish
Ruffian Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show
Metallic nails will also be trendy for Fall/Winter 2012 season coming in nail art designs and glitter-infused nail polishes. Oval, squoval and natural rounded nail shapes have been seen on the runway. A velvet finish for nails has been spotted at Ruffian in red and purple with light moon art design created by MAC. Ombre nails aren’t going anywhere for the Fall/Winter 2012 season as seen at Christian Cota.
