Best Beauty Looks From 2016 Met Gala
Met Gala 2016 was full of amazing beauty moments. Dark lipstick trend reigned the night while sleek hairdos looked fitting on the pink, yellow, red carpet at Metropolitan Museum of Art. There were usual suspects among celebs and fashion professionals. Fashion designers posed with their celebrity muses wearing their designs and even Olsen twins showed up.
2016 Met Gala Beauty
Katie Holmes never looked this good. The former Mrs. Cruz came with her hair down her waist and larger than life lashes. Her look while simple went well with her elegant navy Zac Posen gown.
Hannah Davis was one of those who opted for sleek hairdo. Her drop earrings were used as a decoration and her make up was done in summer-y bronze colors.
Model Emily Ratajkowski had almost the same look only her hair was parted in the middles and her eyes were accentuated with black eyeliner.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley belonged to the same club. Her make up was also done in bronze tones but hair parted at the side.
Bella Hadid can au naturel or at least her make up would have you believe so. Her hair was simply side-parted and she wore natural-looking false lashes.
Emma Stone may not betray her blue eyeshadow habit but she did change her hair color for a darker brown shade.
Leave to Kim K to pull off the wet hair look. The reality star also went for a bleached eyebrow look. Her make up was mostly neutral though with a bit of silver highlighter to match her earrings and metallic dress.
The little sister who is even more of a hair chameleon went for a blunt bob in jet black. Kylie went for a neutral color palette this time adding a bit of sparkle to her eyes to match the bling of her dress.
Aja Naomi King
Aja King was one of a few celebs who went with a red lipstick. Her curly hair were beautifully put in a half up.
Rose Byrne kept the lob throughout the years and came with an orange-y ombre dye job. Her make up was quiet dramatic and involved some dark eye shadow and berry lipstick.
Taylor Swift co-chaired the gala so Vogue made her their May cover star and gave her new platinum hair color. You can see though that a bit of yellow tint did creep into her mane but it didn’t stop Swift and she contrasted it with some really dark lipstick.
Rachel McAdams too went with the vampy lip trend and looked gorgeous.
Another blonde who dared to wear the it-est color of the last couple of years was model Poppy Delevingne. She wore her blonde hair long and side-parted and also accentuated her eyes.
Hailee Steinfeld put a twist on the lip trend by wearing a lacquered lipstick with taupe brown shimmer-y eye shadow.
Jennifer Hudson decided to stay true to her style by wearing a purple lipstick and dark winged eye make up.
Zoey Deutch was almost a true Dolce & Gabbana girl with her hair in a bun and embellished hair accessory. Her monochromatic make up lacked cat eyeliner and red lipstick but she looked fabulous nevertheless.
Zoë Kravitz was creative as usual. She showed up wearing a black lace mask that attracted almost as much attention as her dramatic dress.
And Kanye West came wearing blue contact lenses. Yay or nay?
