Beauty Highlights from Paris Fashion Week
The Paris Fashion Week ended very rapidly leaving behind the trendiest ideas for being in style for Fall 2013 season! Today we are going to address the beauty highlights, which were present during that famous event, so hold on!
Makeup Trends from Paris Fashion Week
Well, Paris Fashion Week, the most awaited event in the fashion world is over, leaving behind the most notable trends for upcoming Fall 2013 season, and this time it is the makeup trends we are going to review. The makeup line of the event is heavily hitting on the natural “no makeup” appearance, if that can be called this way, with a few exaggerated features and exceptions. So, here are the most popular trends for the next Fall season!
There were lots beauty trends that surfaced during the event, however as always we will start with the lips. The lipstick hues were not very versatile, as there is a very apparent nude lip fascination, which was present almost in any collection display. Particularly, the nude lips were very abundant in the shows of Amaya Arzuaga, Ann Demeulemeester, Balmain, Damir Doma, Emanuel Ungaro, Giambattista valli, Isabel Marant and many more. However, the most apparent nude lips were present during the catwalks of Stella McCartney and Emanuel Ungaro, whose beauty looks were almost the same, except that Ungaro opted for bronze facial tones.
Red/ Red Purplish Lips
What fashion event would go without classy scarlet lips? So, the red lips alongside dark plum lip hues were proudly worn by representatives of Christian Dior, Manish Aurora, Miu Miu and many others. However, the most obvious rich red was present during the show of Nina Ricci and Alexis Mabille. Nina Ricci opted for neon bright red lips, with practically no eye makeup, except for the mascara, while Alexis Mabille’ s models chose to wear rich deep red lips with a little bit of blush.
The darker version of red, plum lips were visible during the shows of far more designers, including Louis Vuitton and Veronique Branquinho. Louis Vuitton displayed crème plum lips paired with eyeliner, while Branquinho’s models chose to shine in glossy purple and no eye makeup. However, the most surprising lips were presented during the collection display of Jean Charles de Castelbajac, with an unusual choice of neon red upper lip and nude lower lip. What an interesting combination of both trends!
Smokey Eyes / Silver Metallic Eyes
Among other major highlights were the eye makeup or, in some cases the lack of it, as you have noticed from some of the above pictures. There were two distinct trends present at Paris Fashion Week, one being the smokey eyes and the other silver or metallic hues of an eye shadow. The smokey eye makeup was more popular than the other, being most obvious in Paul Joe and Lanvin paired with nude lips both.
The Metallic and Silver hues were most apparent in the eye makeup of Maxine Simoens and Leonard.
Now, of the most striking beauty feature were the bushy eyebrows, abundant on the catwalks of Balmain, Dries van Noten, Jean Paul Gaultier and Rochas. However, the bushy eyebrows manifested during catwalks of Rochas and Jean Paul Gaultier looked rather bold. The latter opted for the radiant pale face with some blush, contrasted with the black hair and black outfits. Rochas, on the contrary chose a more natural look, with highlighted cheekbones with bronze tint. The bushy eyebrows although present during the previous shows, were not as repelling as the ones in this event.
In general, Paris Fashion Week proved to be more creative than the previous two, while giving something wild as the extreme bushy eyebrows, two toned lips and wild eye makeup!
