Blueberries Make You Slim
There is no secret that predominantly the bulk majority of all fries and berries stimulate the weight loss.
Recently the scientists revealed that blueberry as one of the berries that can help in loosing the excessive pounds. It was admitted as super food as it is low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium; high in Vitamin C, K, Manganese and dietary fiber, antioxidants such as anthocyanins and phenolics. It means that it’s good for loosing weight and maintaining good general health.
The researchers’ findings were presented to the Experimental Biology convention in New Orleans after tests on obese rats.
Scientists found that if the rats were given meals enriched with blueberries, they lost fat from their stomachs. Belly fat is linked to an increased risk of heart disease and diabetes.
The animals also showed improved blood sugar levels and lower cholesterol thus meaning that blueberries has the potential to reduce cardiovascular disease and Metabolic Syndrome which can lead to heart attacks, diabetes and strokes. Blueberries also help protect the body against degenerative diseases.
Another study recently showed that the berries contain a chemical called pterostilbene that can help prevent colon cancer.
