Need a quick sugar fix? There are healthier sweets than high-calorie candy and cookies to choose from. Swap milk chocolate for dark one and ice-cream for frozen yogurt. There are many delicious and healthy fruit desserts as well as foods that are great for soothing sweet tooth and keeping lower calorie intake.
These are easily made sweet and delicious desserts that can replace high-calorie foods with much sugar. Fruit and berries as well as yogurt are not only delicious but also healthy providing us with vitamins and calcium. Bananas and mangos and some other sweet fruit are good on their own. But they can be mixed with other fruit in a salad dressed with yogurt or lemon juice. You can also add some berries to it and experiment with different fruit each time you want a dessert.
Chocolate-dipped slices of fruit or whole berries allow you to indulge in some chocolate and make a delicious desert. Just be sure to use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate as the latter has much more sugar in it. There are many desserts one can make from fruit and berries. Think smoothies, sorbets, puddings, and grilled fruit.
Baked apples are delicious and easy to make. Carve the apple cores out and fill them in with anything. Also add a bit of sugar and a butter. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F) and put in the apples for around 15 minutes.
Date fruit is not only very sweet and delicious but it also has many health benefits. It’s good on its own but it can also be eaten with tea or milk.
If you want a really low-calorie ice-cream take some plain yogurt and instead of adding sugar fill it with some berries, fruit slices, nuts and vanilla or cinnamon. Put into a freezer till it’s frozen.
