Elisabeth Banks takes the cover of the March edition of Women’s Health magazine. Here is what  the 37-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On her top fitness trick:

I do this system called TRX. It was developed by a  Navy SEAL and is basically a simple cord that you can wrap around something anywhere, anytime, and you use your body weight as resistance. We installed one in our home gym, but you can also attach it to a tree. It’s very easy to travel with.

On her personality:

I’m not a particularly shiny, happy person. I’m fairly cynical, and that’s what draws me to comedy.

On her work:

Anytime you can work on something that’s really entertaining but also has an intellectual idea at heart, it’s very exciting.

On dunking:

I constantly heard that all I do is dunk. … And I can understand it. There aren’t SportsCenter clips of me shooting 15-footers.”

On recovering from injury:

There were days when I didn’t feel like going through the same routine. … But I learned that if you’re positive, any situation can be a chance to improve yourself.”

On his most proud game last season against the Pacers:

Most of my baskets came from midrange jumpers…I was the finesse player people said I couldn’t be. I’m excited to show how I’ve added to that part of my game.”

On the importance of being a team player:

I recently got to talk to Magic Johnson. … He said he used to tell individual teammates, ‘Come in before practice and work with me.’ He emphasized that being a leader isn’t about just pushing yourself. It’s also about motivating teammates.”

On energy:

Energy is something you can control. In everything you do, you’re going to face people more talented than you. I set myself apart by bringing more energy than they do.”

On interning for Funny or Die:

I wanted to see that side of comedy. After my workouts, I’d spend the day at the website offices. I’d like to get involved with TV in some capacity when I’m done playing. Next summer I may even write my own videos.”

Katy Perry starred in a new ad for GHD Air hairdryer styled as a mermaid. In the shot by David LaChapelle the singer sports long purple hair and a mermaid outfit. Commenting on the ad Katy Perry said:

I love it because I’m such a fan of the Disney movies. Ariel is such a big influence. It’s always fun to dress up once in your lifetime as a mermaid and have that fish fin tail. It was fun – I got to have purple hair which foreshadowed the real purple hair I had last fall.

Gucci is launching a fragrance collection of five scents as part of the Flora perfume line. Each fragrance was designed to differ from another as well as the packaging has been altered for the new collection of fragrances. Also each scent bears its own name – Gorgeous Gardenia, Gracious Tuberose, Glourious Madarin, Glamorous Magnolia, and Generous Violet.

The Gorgeous Gardenia has top notes of pear and red berries accord, heart notes of white gardenia and frangipani flower, and base notes of brown sugar accord and patchouli.

Gracious Tuberose‘s top notes are juicy peach and violet leaves, heart notes – tuberose, rose and orange flower, while the base notes are white cedarwood and cistus (labdanum).

Glourious Madarin opens with mandarin and peony then mix with jasmine and pina colada accord. The heart notes of the scent are creamy wood, ambergris, and white musk.

Glamorous Magnolia starts with notes of freesia, citrus zest and green leaves then moves to heart notes of magnolia and peony, and has base notes of sandalwood, musk, and warm chocolate

Generous Violet mixes violet leaves accord and orris, soft suede accord and violet petals.

Actress Halle Berry has posed for an ad to promote a new fragrance called Reveal The Passion. Described as sensual and feminine the fragrance comes in same only pink tinted bottle as its predecessor Reveal. The fragrance‘s top notes consist of Italian bergamot, dewfruit, apple, and freesia. The heart notes include mangosteen and White Champaca, while the drydown completes it with musks, branches of ambered okoume, and patchouli. Actress herself said that:

I wanted to create a scent that helped empower women to reveal their passionate sides. Nothing makes a woman sexier or more beautiful than the confidence that comes from within.

Halle Berry looks glamorous in the ad for Reveal The Passion photographed by Cliff Watts. The fragrance is due out in February in U.S., Latin America, and Canada at $17 for eau de parfum 15ml and $28 for 30ml.

Louis Vuitton has announced plan to launch the first fragrance. The brand has become known for its luxury luggage collections to which it later added a clothing line, footwear, jewellery, and accessories. Now the brand is adding fragrance to its range of goods, though perfume is not an entirely new product for the brand’s history.

Louis Vuitton has released three fragrances back in the 20′s and the 30′s but since then it was more focused on signature luggage and other fashion items. The fragrance will be developed with perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud who also developed scents like Stella for Stella McCartney’s and Dior Addict for Dior.

The brand hasn’t given any details about the date of release yet but it is known that the fragrance will be available to purchase exclusively at Louis Vuitton stores.

Many associate Jean-Paul Gaultier‘s collections with Madonna. But the designer’s latest Spring Couture Collection was to pay tribute to another songstress Amy Winehouse, unveiling his spring line that was inspired by the late Amy. Models walked the runway to a soundtrack by the singer, donning her famous beehive hair and fifties-style fashion. The collection mainly consisted of pencil skirts and corset dresses, nipped-in waists and polka dots.

Such well-know models as Andrej Pejic, Karlie Kloss took part in the show. The Serbian-born male model Andrej looked stunning with a blonde beehive and a beaty spot. Earlier in the day he Tweeted:

Kristen Stewart has been chosen as a new face for Balenciaga fragrance. The brand plans to launch a new fragrance this year but their current ambassador actress Charlotte Gainsbourg will be continuing as the face of Balenciaga Paris. Kristen Stewart told WWD that:

Balenciaga has always stood out to me. Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognised and loved Balenciaga. It feels full circle to be involved with something that spoke to me then and of course continues to excite me now. The brand is just cool. That’s the way it is. I feel drawn to it. After a collaboration with O.P.I. and two fragrances released pop diva Katy Perry goes on for another beauty venture now that she has teamed up with Eylure to launch her own line of false eyelashes. The brand has been designing the handmade false eyelashes for sixty years and even have a range of false eyelashes for men. Eylure has reported on their collaboration with the singer:

As a false lash lover herself, Katy had a very clear idea of what she wanted to achieve and was involved in every step of the design process. We were keen to create a range of lashes that were a direct extension of her own personal style.

Since false eyelashes are almost always a part of Katy Perry‘s beauty looks it’s no wonder the collaboration took place. The brand itself has already collaborated with Girls Aloud as well as offer a range of false eyelashes in style of Sex and the City characters. Eylure has announced that the line from Katy Perry will be available at Ulta in February through its twitter account.
