The sister of the illustrious Beyounce Knowles, Solange Knowles is to be the newest face of the Britain cosmetic brand Rimmel. She joints the Rimmel family that includes such gorgeous spokeswomen like supermodel Kate Moss, actress Zooey Deschanel and model Alejandra Ramos Munoz.

The president of Coty Beauty that owns the Rimmel brand, Renato Semerari, said:

“These three strong, successful and uniquely beautiful women will help ensure that Rimmel London’s image continues to be modern and globally relevant.”

According to WWD, the Coty Inc’s chief executive officer, Bernd Beetz said that the company is thrilled to welcome the new faces:

“Zooey, Solange and Alejandra each bring a distinct look and personality to Rimmel London, expanding the brand’s visibility and strengthening Coty’s global color platform.”

Japanese motif from Guerlain – Cherry Blossom Collection

The face of the new Japanese make up collection became Natalia Vodianova who is far from being Japanese.

But the rest of the collection is in pure Japanese style with the basic color – cherry in blossom. Eye shadows and blush gamut are in cherry-pink, pink-lilac and pin-beige palette.

The Bad Romance singer Lady Gaga launches the Gaga lipstick for MAC Viva Glam at Il Bottaccio.

All proceeds will be donated to HIV/AIDs charities via the MAC AIDS Fund.

It’s a precedent for Estée Lauder! For the first time the illustrious brand partnered with a fashion designer. And the lucky one is Derek Lam. They teamed up to create a beauty look for a Fashion Week show Fall/Winter 2010 – the make-up and nail look for his runway show, to be more exact.

Blue eyes, matte skin, bare cheeks, copper lips and neutral nails held sway the catwalk at Capitale, where the designer showcased his American West-inspired collection.

Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux led a team of 15 artists to create the look for the 22 models to complement the designer’s inspiration, while famed manicurist Jin Soon Choi and her team polished their nails with a new color that was tested backstage.

In a press release, Pecheux said:

“When Derek showed me the fabrics that inspired his Fall 2010 collection – bold and muted tones mixed with earthy pigments including terracotta, greens and browns – I thought the make-up shades should be complimentary. So we chose a blend of bold blue shadows on the eyes, shimmering copper lips, and flawless, matte skin created with a light foundation — an on-trend beauty preview of what we will see for Fall 2010.”

The super model Elle Macpherson has been wearing the men’s aftershave Vetiver by Guerlain for 28 years after stealing the scent from an ex-boyfriend.

The 46-year-old Australian star shared about her beauty regime:

“In Australian culture, beauty is not particularly idealised. I grew up making face masks with egg whites. I still don’t wear a lot of make-up. When I’m working, I Use Revlon Age Defying foundation – it has a fantastic texture. In the evening, I wear black kohl around my eyes, and remove it before bed with Vaishaly Cleansing balm.”

The mother-of-two also credited her good looks and figure with drinking lots of water and regular exercise.

“Like my mother, I used Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, before developing my own product, Body Silk. And I’ve worn Vetiver by Guerlain since I was 18. I think I nicked it from a boyfriend. I’m fortunate to have olive skin, as I’m a sun worshipper.”

Having her own line of beauty products and lingerie, Elle told Style magazine:

“I’m more inspired by wellness than beauty; I do Pilates, and when abroad I surf and paddle-board. Water is my biggest beauty tip: I drink three litres a day. And a pair of large, dark sunglasses.”

What do you expect from the Valentine’s Day? The day of love, kisses and hugs? I can tell you that I really want to look amazing, though I know that my darling is mine only, but I want to be sure that he won’t be able to turn his eyes from me. So, here are my tips to makeup gorgeously and innocently at the same time.

• After skin nourishing, apply the corrector under the eyes and onto the inner eye corners. Thin layer of corrector on the upper eyelids will be a good foundation for eye shadows to keep them on longer and soother.

• Use the foundation color that matches your skin color best. Shade it with your fingertips. Choose pink or peach hues blush – depending on your skin color of course. Those who have round face shape, apply blush onto the center of the cheeks, and those with long (or oblong) face – onto the cheekbones. If you want your make up to look natural and sparkling, use blush with light-reflecting sparkles.

• Apply the beaming shadows of golden-peach or beige tints along the lashes line. To add some glam chic, brush slightly the inner eye corner with light shadows.

• Apply dark-tinted matte shadows onto the outer eye corners.

• Apply light eye shadows (the first hue) under the brow along the eye.
