Meet the hottest trend in nails designing- magnetic nail polish, which allows to create various rippled patterns on the nails, which gives them unique look. Besides originality, the magnetic nail polish is pretty easy to be applied.

The new hottest trend- magnetic nail polish- is taking over the beauty world. If you got tired from simply painting your nails in one color, use the newest invention in nail polish industry- magnetic nail polish.

It should be applied as an ordinary nail polish at the first stage, but later you should hold the magnet over the polish and that’s when the effect appears- on the top of the nail cover get a rippled effect. When you are holding a thin magnet over your recently-painted nails, the iron powder contained in the polish follows the pattern of the magnet thus creating an interesting design on your nails.

Here are some comments about the magnetic nail polish:

Totally fun to play with but as a MRI technologist. This isn’t safe if you are due for a MRI, just want to let you ladies/gents a heads up.. don’t want to be nailess after the MRI.

I got a lot of comments from people wanting to know who had done my nails. I am a polish fanatic and love different looks. I can’t wait for my other one to come in.

Nowadays a lot of nail polish brands offer the magnetic nail polish in various color shades and rippled designs. For instance, LCN professional line has magnetic nail polishes available in eight different shades priced at $9,90 each. But magnets don’t go as a unit, you have to buy them separately for $19.90. There are two versions of ripples design- a diagonal line and star version.

UK nail brand Nail Inc has in its assortment polish called Magnetic Attraction. It comes in 3 metallic shades- gold, gray and purple. Unlike the designing of ripples with LCN magnets, Nail Inc magnets can only create abstract ripples.

Everyday hair routine like washing, blowdrying, flatironing cause fried hair. In this case you feel uncomfortable as your hair is faded and looks absolutely unhealthy. Are you fed up with it? Are you ready to beging curing fried hair? Then let's go!!!

If you are reading this post, you’ve apparently fried your hair. Maybe you are obsessed with the curling iron, or for some reasons you stayed out in the sun for days on end, or your colorist committed crime dying your black hair white-blonde. And maybe you got that fried hair due to a perm atop a coloring job. Anyway, if your feel that your hair reminds straw, be sure, it’s fried. Stop moaning! That’s not the end of the world, so, calm down and set to hair fixing job! First of all, get rid of the hot tools (flat irons and curling irons) for some time (actually, as much as possible) and next: you need to get your ends trimmed every fortnight. And the third, follow these tips to repair the fried hair.

Number One: the simple cure
Buy a deep conditioner as soon as possible! Hair product that contains keratin and is named for dry, damaged hair is exactly what you need. Go product throughout hair and leave on for several minutes. The conditioner will absorb into your hair shaft and soften your straw-like hair. It will take about 10 minutes, not including the shower. Hold deep conditioning twice a week the first fortnight, then go on once a week. Washing your hair every day is not necessary as water is very drying to hair. Wear a shower cap while taking a shower.

Number two: Use a proper conditioner

For this fix, you need a conditioner with cetyl alcohol, according to colorist Robert Ramos in InStyle Magazine. The colorist says:

It’s an ultrarich fatty acid that helps hair retain moisture.”

Comb conditioner through hair then blast is with a hair dryer for 15 minutes. Rinse.

Number three: the complex but reliable fix

Celebrity stylist Chris McMillan, Jennifer Aniston’s hairstylist, shared this recipe in Allure magazine. Be sure, it will help you in case you follow all the steps; just look at Jennifer’s incredible hair!

Step 1: Blend in a bowl 2 tablespoons each of rinse-out conditioner, a leave-in conditioner, a deep conditioner and a hair mask.

Step 2: Run the mix through clean, damp hair making sure to focus most of the product on mid-shaft down to the ends.

Step 3: Wet 2 large towels, wring them out and heat one in a microwave for 1-2 minutes (depending on how hot your microwave gets the towel, you want it tolerable to touch, but steamy warm).

Step 4: Wrap hair up in the hot towel while you heat second towel in microwave.

Step 5: Alternate wrapping hair in towels about 2-3 times.

This ultra-deep conditioner should be repeated once a week.

Number four: Cut it off

It may sound really silly, but getting rid of damaged hair is tip is the only way to truly repair it. In order to keep hair in good form, get a trim every 2-3 weeks and swear off razor cuts and styling tools including curling irons, blow dryers and flatirons. Also stay away from any processing, which will only weaken hair further. According to Allure, relaxers are the harshest on hair, followed by bleach, permanent color, demi-permanent dye and then rinses or glazes.

If you have damaged hair, choose highlights instead of all-over color and ask your hair master should use a glaze instead of dye if you are going darker. For hiding gray hair, stick with demi-permanent formulas.

Matching and coordinating makeup with manicure or outfit can be tricky. What to match? What not to match? Some rules like matching manicure and pedicure are outdated and there is some flexibility when it comes to matching makeup to an outfit. Here are some tips on how to match and coordinate makeup, manicure, and outfit.

Makeup and manicure are a part of the look just like the outfit. They can make or break it so it’s important to known what can be matched and what can be coordinated. When choosing makeup for an outfit, remember about the contrast and the balance:

Contrast makes things interesting. It mixes up things to make the look eye catchy and give it some character.

Balance keeps things under control preventing the look from going overboard. So matching a few things in the look can make it look more consistent and though out.

Matching manicure and pedicure: an old rule doesn’t have to be followed strictly. In order to get a flattering look opt for colors in manicure and pedicure that coordinate well.

Matching lipstick to nail polish: This is acceptable. In fact every other makeup ad shows a model wearing matching lipstick and nail polish. Though this is not necessarily a rule and one can wear different lip color and nail polish.

Matching lipstick to a dress/outfit: This is interesting. There are so many nuances to be considered. Matching lipstick to a dress can be tricky and sometimes look too overloaded. In this case try distributing colors evenly, for example matching lipstick to an accessory or shoes. If wearing an ensemble then try matching lipstick to a skirt or pants. Also be sure not to overload the look with accents in one color.

As for eye makeup opt for colors that complement the dress color. It is acceptable to wear eyeshadow of similar color as the dress or top but then it’s better to go with tame lips.

Matching lipstick to eye makeup: It’s better to keep these two at least somewhat different. Besides if wearing bright lips it’s better to keep the eyes tame and vice versa.

How to coordinate lipstick and blush: When choosing blush to coordinate with the lipstick make sure the colors go well together. It’s better to keep them somewhat similar.

Find out what is the shape of your face and based on that use certain makeup technique in order to accentuate the prettiest parts of your face and hide imperfections.

Take a careful look at your face and define what facial structure it has with our description of various facial shapes. It will help you to efficiently use makeup that will outline your best features and hide the worst.

Oval shape

This shape is considered to be ideal. This face is characterized by balanced features. This facial type doesn’t need any correction make over or special hair-style in order to improve the look. so, the main reason to wear makeup for women with an oval shape is restoring the natural beauty.

Form your eyebrows in the natural arch. While applying lip color on the lower lip, don’t forget to outline it for a fuller lips effect. Apply blush in certain trajectory- in a “C” shape, blend it thoroughly and direct them to the outer corner of the eyes.

Diamond shape

This face shape is defined by the slim forehead and chin and wide cheek bones. In order to correct the shape and make the face look close to oval form, you have to visually reduce the width of the cheeks using a foundation of darker shade to the external part of cheekbones and lengthen it towards the outer corner of the eyes. And as for chin and a forehead, apply a foundation of lighter shade in order to reach in impression of the width.

While shaping the eyebrows, avoid keeping them close to each other, instead keep them slightly apart following the natural arch. Don’t tend to use bright lipsticks, rather of natural colors.

Heart shape

The wide forehead and a slender chin are the major signs of the heart shaped face. In this case makeup is supposed to widen the chin and reduce the width of the forehead.

You can reach chin broadening by applying a foundation of light shades while for the forehead use a darker foundation. Keep your eyebrows thick and straight and follow the natural arch, but don’t place them too close to each other. You may use lipsticks of any color. In order to create illusion of width, you may use a high lighter on the center of the forehead and on the sides of cheeks. Putting blushes on the upper cheeks will give your face an attractive appearance.

Round shape

Round face is the easiest one to define. It is characterized by the approximately equal proportion of face width and length. The makeup will have a function of lengthening the face and giving it a more oval shape.

Just like with diamond shape, apply a foundation of darker shades on the sides of the face to the jaw line and beneath the cheeks. While using the blush, apply it on cheeks in order to make them look slender and blend all the way towards the temples. When putting on makeup on eyes and brows, go for a fuller and intensive look.

Square shape

The square face is a combination of a straight forehead with a square jaw. You need some extra skills and efforts in order to apply makeup on such face. The main idea behind the makeup is to soften the edges and give the face a tender look.

Apply a dark foundation on the temples, jaw line and sides of the face. This way you will shrink the width of the face. In addition, blend the blushes towards the jaw line for a more lengthening effect. Eyebrows of a round shapes can also help to alleviate the look. And the final element- a lipstick for a fuller lips effect.

Long shape

Long face has a stretched form with a bit hollow cheeks. So the main objective is making a face look fuller and wider with the help of makeup.

Leave your eyebrows a little bit thick in order to shrink the length of the face. Keep the eye makeup intensive by accentuating the eyes and making the visually bigger. Put on an eye liner from the center of the lid stretching it to the outer corners. Use the lip colors in order to give lips a fuller effect. Apply the blushes under the minimum degree: make sure it doesn’t go over the outer corner of the eyes and beneath the tip of the nose. Apply foundation of lighter shades on the sides of the face and a darker one on the chin and forehead area.

Pear shape

I bet you haven’t heard before of such facial type, but it does exist. You can identify the pear face by the slim forehead, relatively broad jaw line and the chin area. Again, this won’t be easy to give a pear face a more proper shape. The main task is lengthening the face in the lower part and widening it at the top.

Shape your eyebrows by lighting the arch on the outer ends. Blend the blushes down towards the jaw line. In order to reach a slender look use the foundation of darker shades on the sides of the jaw.

Do you know that your fingernails and toenails can indicate potential problems in other parts of your body? Healthy nails should typically have a pink color, but sometimes they may change in tone and texture, signifying a deficiency in certain vitamins, minerals and nutrients.

If you keep your nails healthy and strong, you should notice changes in the composition and color of your nails. Keeping your nails healthy holds a double benefit gorgeous fingertips and tootsies and a helpful clue to learn if anything might be wrong elsewhere in your body. And while we don’t necessarily think of nails as gauges of our health in most cases, we sure do love getting dolled up and showing them off!

To begin your quest for healthy nails, first make a commitment to eating healthier foods. You can still enjoy the foods you love, but you should make a conscious effort to consume healthy fruits and vegetables, nuts, fish and eggs, among other nail-friendly foods.

B Vitamins

A lack of B vitamins, specifically biotin and vitamin B12, can lead to dryness of the nails. Moreover, the nails become dark. Eat more carrots, tomatoes, leafy green lettuce, liver, peanut butter, nuts, peas, oatmeal and beans – these products are rich at biotin. But vitamin B12 can be found in meat, eggs and dairy products such as milk, yogurt and cheese.

Zinc and Iron

Those white areas on the nails, similar to the marks that occur as a result of pressure on nails can be caused by zinc deficiency. Pumpkin seeds, beef, pork, lamb, dairy products and hard-boiled eggs are perfect sources of zinc. If your nails grow with ridges rather than with a smooth surface – your body needs more iron that can be found in leafy greens, prunes, grains, seeds, red meat, broccoli and tofu.

Calcium and Protein

If you consume calcium not sufficiently, it can cause the nails to be fragile and dry. Calcium benefits the body most when it is absorbed along with vitamin D, so milk is a great source of calcium. Other calcium sources include yogurt, cheese and kale. Protein benefits nails as well, since nails are made of keratin, a type of protein. This important nutrient can be found in beans, legumes, meat, eggs and soy.

Vitamin A and Vitamin C

Vitamin A, which can be found in beet greens, collards, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes and liver, can prevent nails from becoming dull and dry. A lack of vitamin C can cause hang nails. Bell peppers, cauliflower, oranges, watermelon, mangoes, tomatoes, strawberries, kiwi, cantaloupe and grapefruit are all sources of vitamin C.

Unhealthy nails can have slow growth, ridges, dents, white spots, rips and an unusual color. Minerals and vitamins found in certain foods can improve the health and appearance of nails. Although eating certain foods will not provide a quick fix for nails, eating foods for healthy nails can help to contribute to nail health when combined with proper care and maintenance, such as cleaning and moisturizing.

Orange lips are still trendy so here we give a couple of tips on how to wear orange lipstick. The key to pulling off this vibrant color is of course the right shade for one's own skin tone. When choosing shade consider the undertones as well. Mixing up several shades or even colors can also yield a flattering result.

Orange lipstick as well as the “bold lip” itself have been around for several seasons now and they aren’t going anywhere this spring. Orange comes in various shades and with different undertones so choosing the right shade that fits your skin tone is very important.Orange is a bright color and there are certain rules that apply to wearing bright lip color:

Do not overdo. Keep the eyes soft using mascara or eyeliner, and maybe a bit of natural shade eyeshadow.

Master the application. Bright lip color doesn’t forgive careless application so make sure it is perfect.

Think the look through. Think about how the orange lips go with the clothes. It doesn’t have to match it but the overall picture should look harmonious.

Also make sure the lipstick shade goes well with hair color.

When choosing orange lipstick shade make sure it suits your skin tone. If the color is too bright opt for more sheer textures or more matte finish. Sheer texture works best for fair skin tones. Dark skin tones allow wearing various bright shades of orange. Make sure to try a certain shade before you buy because some orange lipsticks come with different undertones.

Pair orange lips with soft eye makeup in neutral shades or use mascara only. Subtle eyeliner can work with the orange just make sure the overall look isn’t garish.

Color changing nail polish is another solution for a two-color manicure. Since the nail polish reacts to temperature of the body or outdoors it can not only change from one color to another but also leave nail tips in a different hue than the rest of the nail.

Color changing nail polish also known as mood changing nail polish is usually a two-color lacquer that changes between the colors due to nail temperature. Since the tip of the nail is cooler than the rest of the nail its color differs from the main one. The color changing nail polish is usually featured in two colors but some come in three colors. There are various companies that produce these types of varnishes like Nubar, Toma, and Del Sol.

How it Works

The colors of nail polish change in the heat or cold. The weather or water temperature can make the colors switch from one to another. Some brands claim their nail polish changes colors with your mood but it all still comes down to temperature of the body meaning that the nail polish reacts to heat and cold.

How to Use it

Always apply base coat before the nail polish. Then apply the first coat of color changing nail polish and let it dry. Add another coat and finish off with a topcoat if necessary. During the day the nails will change color as it reacts to heat and cold. Some color changing nail polishes change the color in the sun.

Choosing the flattering hair part is essential if you want to have your face features balanced. With a few tips in our article you can do it quite fast and easy. Read and find what’s best for women with round, square, oval and heart-shaped face!

You would be surprised to know how many women neglect the question of a flattering hair part. They can stick to one certain part for years and believe it is the right one and looks great on them, when it definitely does not. If you don’t want to become one of such ladies just read stylists’ advice on how to choose the hair part that flatters your face shape.

Heart-shaped face. For heart-shaped face a middle part is the best if you have long hair. For short-haired women it will have quite the opposite effect, unfortunately. The side part will be for both long and short hair, as it covers forehead and the cheek area partially, this way making the face look thinner.

Round face. To balance the features of a round face one needs a deep side hair part. Choosing the side is easy with the help of a blank piece of paper. Cover one side of your face with it and look in a mirror. Then cover the other side and look in the mirror again. The side you like best wins.

Square face. For square-faced women a deep side hair part will look the most flattering because it will hide harsh angles and show the best of your face. Start your deep part just above the arch in your eyebrows.

Oval face. Oval-faced people are the luckiest. You can try any hair part you like – middle, side, deep side or even zigzag part. Experiment with your style and find what is best for you. Or just pull off a different hair part every day!
