Although some people think freckles are cute and lovable many still suffer from them. When there are just a few of freckles on the face it looks Ok but when you can’t see clear skin because of the freckles covering it all over, this becomes a problem.
The brightest freckles are found in young adults, usually having blonde and especially red hair. The skin tends to freckle in spring and summer, but as fall comes and winter approaches, they turn pale and soon disappear.
The color and brightness of freckles, however, depend not only on the color of your hair and skin, but also on how long and intensely your skin is exposed to sunlight.
Of course you cannot avoid sun all the time but you can significantly decrease the time of you being exposed. Or you can take some other preventive measures. Even if you already have plenty of freckles on your face you can reduce their number by various masks and bleaching methods.
To prevent the appearance of freckles you should:
• Wear a hat to keep the sun from directly hitting your face.
• Use sunscreen or sunblock with UV factor 30+
• Do your best to avoid peak sun hours, between 10 am and 4 pm when the sun is most intense.
• Ask your doctor to check what makes your skin more sensitive to the sun.
• Stay away from tanning beds because these devices expose your skin to lots of pigment-inducing UV radiation; one tanning bed session is equal to a whole day spent at the beach without sun protection.
• Eat more products rich in vitamin C such as fruit, green onion, red or black currant juice, sauerkraut and wild rose tea. Vitamin C makes the skin less sensitive to sunbeams.
There are many methods to get rid freckles in salons and beauty shops but you can still do a lot at home. The effect will be the same and you will not spend too much on the ingredients.
Natural Remedies for Freckles
• Wash your face with sour milk. Lactic acid promotes gentle peeling of skin minus the irritation or dryness.
• Apply sour cream on your face. Do not rinse this mask off completely; gently wipe off with a soft tissue and top it up with a moisturizer.
• Use fruit and vegetable masks made with apricots, strawberries, cucumbers and red currant on the regular basis, this will help to lighten freckles.
• Lemon juice is a tested remedy for treating freckles. Apply lemon juice with your fingers on the area affected by freckles; lemon juice bleaches the dark spots.
• Horseradish juice or horseradish vinegar, or oatmeal dabbed on the skin is also helpful in lightening freckles.
• Apply parsley juice mixed with equal amounts of lemon juice, orange juice, and red currant juice under your favorite cream will help you keep your freckles invisible.
• Onions also can be used for removing freckles and age spots. Slice a red onion in half and rub on the spots twice a day.
Continue until the spots become almost invisible.
• Mix an equal amount of turmeric and sesame seeds. Grind in water and apply to the face.
• To lighten freckles, mash 1/4 cup of unripe currants and mix with 1 tbsp. of unpasteurized honey. Put on freckles and leave on for half an hour. Rinse off with warm water and dab on diluted fresh lemon juice.
• Heat honey slightly and apply to face, tap face gently with your fingers. Wash honey off with warm water then rinse with cool water. Mix the honey with a little quantity of wheat germ before applying.
• Use odorless castor oil or vitamin E at night before going to bed.
• Grind yellow mustard in milk and apply to the face during the night. Wash your face the next morning.
Many of the techniques mentioned above are used to bleach your freckles, to make them less visible. And any bleaching has negative effects, especially if your skin is sensitive by itself or due to the fact you’ve taken some medicine or vitamins.
Before using any of the methods you should consult a specialist who will be able to determine which of the ways described work best for your skin.

The pictures were photoshopped. The girl poses exactly the same in both of them, with the same expression. The contrast has also been noticably altered. A filter may have been applied. Don’t get rid of your freckles— they are beautiful. Sites like these exist to sell products by making people insecure. Don’t buy into this crap.
