As the spring began many women have faced lots of problems with their skin.

These may include: paleness as a result of lack of vitamins, skin redness and excessive exfoliation of dead cells, dehydration from temperature changes, etc.

To eliminate all those defects you have to take proper care of your skin. Do all the procedures of your daily regimen and apply masks which will moisturize and nourish your face skin.

You can attend beauty shops, or buy manufactured masks or prepare your own masks from handy products and apply them at home. Home-made masks are much more effective than manufactured ones as they do not contain preservatives and can be applied as often as you need. Besides, you can relax at home better and the result will be very good.

Spring facial masks should nourish , moisturize and provide soft exfoliation. Here are 5 most effective masks which will help you get rid of all negative winter consequences.

1. Honey Mask

Honey mask is very popular as it can be used all year round to nourish your skin and prevent aging. However, spring honey mask includes other ingredients as well. Mix 1tablespoon honey (white is the best), 1tablespoon oats, add a few drops of lemon juice and a teaspoon olive oil. Apply the mask for 15 minutes to your face and neck, then wet a clean towel in lukewarm water, wring it out and put it on your face for 3-5 minutes. After that rinse the mask off with warm water and moisturize your skin. This mask works best before bed, 2-3 times a week.

2. Herbal mask

Once a week you may apply a herbal mask to sooth and tone your skin and eliminate irritation and redness. Mix 1 teaspoon sage with 2 teaspoons lavender and the same amount of dried chamomile. Grind that thoroughly and add hot boiling water to form a paste. Cover the mixture for a minute, then apply to the face and neck and cover yourself with a towel. Leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and apply moisturizer.

3. Strawberry mask

This mask works best for hydrated, tired and pale skin. It nourishes the skin and strengthens the capillaries. Cool a glass of boiling water and add a teaspoon baking soda. Moisten a piece of gauze double-folded in a baking soda solution and wrap your face and neck with it, apply mashed strawberry over it. Let it set for 15 minutes, then wash off. Repeat the procedure every day within a week, then twice a week within a month. If you have allergy or inflammation process this mask is to be avoided.

4. Banana mask

This mask nourishes the skin very well and can be applied every morning before you go out. The mask is rich in vitamins and energizes your skin for the whole day. Mash half of a banana, add little olive oil, add a couple of lemon juice drops or some grinded citron. Apply the mixture to your face and neck, leave it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off and moisturize.

5. Cottage cheese mask

This mask nourishes and removes dead cells properly. It is rich in calcium and selenium which help to prevent aging. Use the mask twice a week for a better effect. Mix 1 tablespoon cottage cheese with a teaspoon sour cream, then add 2 teaspoons grinded almonds or 1 teaspoon grinded buckwheat instead. Apply for 20 minutes, then massage your face for a minute or two and rinse off with lukewarm water. Moisturize the skin.
