Best Nail Trends For Spring 2015
Is it just me or nail art is making a subtler comeback? This Spring the plain nails aren’t particularly popular. Inverted French, clear lines/shapes, moon manicure, and gliterry metallics – are all here to stay from the last season but the newer trends are even more eye-catchy.

Solid colors are still in as long as they are rich and dark or pastel and light. This contrast is a nice one for those who like darker colors year round but now you don’t need to paint a whole nail in one or two (or even maybe three) perfectily smooth coats. You can play around with a nail art brush to create edgy strokes as seen at Prabal Gurung or apply it partially with the help of a sponge or dry brush technique as at Monique Lhuillier.
Colorful nails are a big hit of the season. Contrasting colors twirling and swirling on nails like canvas remind us of the colorful marbles and the abstract prints of the Sixties.

Double French is a fresher take on the already modernized classic. Contrasting colors will make it stand out more while you can also use clear polish with colored lines.
It’s all about subtlety when it comes to wearable nail art and decorated nails. At Houghton the models wore matte flesh-colored or peach nail polish (which is also trendy) with tiny rhinestones concentrated on the nail of a middle finger. Two or three small clear or black stones are fixed in a vertical row to create a subtle elegant accent.
The nail color of the Spring 2015 seems to be peachy orange that has been spotted at A Détacher, Delpozo, Alice + Olivia, and Veronica Beard. Colors like blue (bright and pastel shades), red, and mint are also in.
