Chanel Couture Spring 2013 Show Beauty Looks
Chanel Couture Spring 2013 Show Beauty
With the couture season presenting a show after show we look at the beauty side of fashion. These backstage photos from Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2013 show allow a closer look at the models’ “goth” makeup and amazing textured hair. Honestly, first looking at the full-length snaps from the show I thought the makeup featured the drawn-on eyelashes but they were in fact fabric and mesh custom falsies. How cool is that?
Before applying those dramatic eyelashes though make up artists created a dark smokey eye makeup using black eyeliner and dark eyeshadow with a bit of sparkle. This looked a bit like the makeup from Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2012 The Bombay Express show. The finishing touch here is the leaf-shaped fabric and mesh false eyelashes that created a smudged look from afar.
The eyelashes were carefully applied to the upper and lower lids of models’ eyes that were already made up with their natural lashes finished with mascara.
The finishing touches in makeup were soft pink blush to accentuate the cheeks and natural lip color. This is an amazing look that complemented the dramatic clothes from the collection.
As for the hair it was pulled up in tousled textured updos accessorized with feather-y fabric headpieces. The color of the headpieces varied to match the color of the outfits. The hair looks loose and natural without a trace of hair styling products. Try to part hair at the left side and fix it to the back of your head with pins creating volume and letting hair lie a bit chaotically.
The head piece adds a lot of drama to the look but you could go for subtler version and create your own inspired look. What do you think about these beauty looks?
