Haute Couture Beauty: Best From Paris Fashion Week
Couture fashion week is always a big deal. Where else would one find so much inspiration? Design, makeup, and hair all come down together to make a beautiful show. The main accent was on the eyes, even hair was kept mostly simple and relaxed. The designer line up featured the usual suspects like Christian Dior, Chanel, and Versace.
Best Beauty Looks From Paris Fashion Week
Versace Couture Fall/Winter 2014
Versace went with a bright bold eye makeup. Blue eyeshadow was used to create extreme two-toned wings complemented with neutral blush and lipstick. The hair was sleek as usual so the main focus was maintained on the eyes.
Armani Prive Couture Fall/Winter 2014
Armani Prive went for a subtler eye makeup created with black eyeshadow that outlined the outer corners of the eyes elongating them with the pointed wings. This look can make your eyes look bigger.
Christian Dior Couture Fall/Winter 2014
Christian Dior won’t ditch metallics. This time around the models wore small mirrored metallic lines on their eyelids instead of actual makeup, which gave eyes a certain sparkle.
Valentino Couture Fall/Winter 2014
Valentino made the case for seriously romantic yet trendy wet look hair that we can easily picture as part of a bridal look.
Chanel Couture Fall/Winter 2014
Chanel has already found a signature look for the couture and pre-season shows it seems. The hair was put up creating an edgy look that was fininshed with some seriously bold brows and two-toned eye makeup.
As you can see this season’s haute looks are more wearable than those from the last couture fashion week. Some you may copy without even toning down and look absolutely fantastic and not theatrical at all. What do you think?
