New York Fashion Week Fall 2013 Hair
New York Fashion Week Hair
The hair is an essential part of any beauty look. Yesterday we talked about the best makeup looks from the New York Fashion Week hairstyles, today let’s talk about hair. Many designers chose wind swept textured loose hair for their models. Mid and deep side parts were preferred for those hairstyles. The tresses were tousled and a bit messy often coming hand in hand with natural barely there makeup. Messy buns and knots were also favored by some designers and the ponytails of different kinds also made an appearance.
At Marc by Marc Jacobs show the hair was voluminous and curled. The curls were side parted and paired with brown eyeshadow and bright red glossy lipstick. The look is amazing and quite fresh.
Models at Anna Sui wore their hair in cute short bob styles or voluminous half ponytails. The look was enhanced with dramatic black eyeliner.
Badgley Mischka went with the upside down braid which made for a sleek back and textured front which was slightly waved.
Jason Wu chose a sleek updo for the show. The front was mid-parted and sleeked while at the back hair was pulled up and the top strands were styled criss cross.
Prabal Gurung, Sally Lapointe chose wind-swept buns while Naeem Khan went with sleek braided buns with 20′s style waves at the front.
At Carolina Herrera the hair was mid-parted and rolled up from each side making for a retro look.
Side part hair trend is still going strong so it’s been spotted at Reen Acra, Honor, Calvin Klein and other shows. At Diane Von Furstenberg the hair was side-parted and styled in loose waves.
Tadashi Shoji and Oscar de la Renta went for textured/tousled knot hairdos while the braids were spotted at Alexandre Herchcovitch show.
Volume at the crown was also spotted at the few shows. The hair is given volume and combed back with the sleeked sides.
