Burberry to launch Cosmetics Line

The British fashion house Burberry has announced the decision to produce a range of cosmetics. The collection will be made under the collaboration with Inter Parfums SA and include about a hundred of products for skin, lips and eyes.

Phillippe Benacin, chairman and managing director of Inter Parfums SA, commented:

It gives another dimension to the brand.”

The new range will be launched in July 2010 and available from about 30 stores around the world.

Burberry already has a line of fragrances that sells well. This means the range of cosmetics might be as successful.

Burberry house is popular with A-list celebrities. The list of those includes big names: Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Emma Watson.

Freida Pinto has been the latest to become the fan. She started wearing Burberry designs after being influenced by boyfriend Dev Petal.

The actress said:

I’m wearing a Burberry dress with a Burberry clutch but the shoes are Rupert Sanderson. It’s Dev’s favourite brand and he’s made me into a devotee, too. I love them, love their colours. It’s really classy but at the same time it has a no fuss thing about it.”
