Haute Couture Beauty Fall 2013

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week was amazing not only fashion-wise. The beauty looks for the season weren’t as bright and dramatic as the ones for Spring 2013 yet there are some gorgeous makeup ideas we just can’t resist. Dior (again) opted for glitter and kept the focus on the lips while Versace gave the models amazing lush eyelashes. Armani Prive stood out in hair department while Chanel gave us another way of sporting a ponytail.

Christian Dior

At Christian Dior the models sported statement lips but this time the special effect was achieved only with glitter. The bronze color looked far more neutral than the spring reds and the pink and copper only hinted at the color but never looked bold. Keeping the lips the center of attention makeup artists didn’t leave the eyes naked. The white pearl eyeshadow was used on the lids together with a thin line of glitter eyeliner. Just enough to add a bit of sparkle to the eyes. The models’ hair was pulled back into sleeked low-rise buns.

Versace

The eyes at the Versace show were given all the attention. Clad in dramatic false eyelashes eyes looked like they had fluttering dark wings against the bronze brown painted lids. The skin was flawless and slightly dewy, highlighted at the bridge of the nose, under the eyes, and around the lips. The lips were neutral and natural while hair was pulled up in high buns.

Armani Privé

Armani Privé needed the look that would correspond with all the delicate dresses and fabrics in the collection so they created a very light makeup look that was based around perfect-looking skin, a touch of sand eyeshadow and eyeliner.

Hair looked sublime. Big waves around face were fixed to the side while the rest of it was pulled up in a relaxed retro roll.

Chanel

Chanel also went for a roll while creating their hair look, which also included a ponytail. A center section of the hair was used to create a roll accessorized with sparkly hair pieces while the rest of the hair was fixed in a mid-rise ponytail.
